Dr. Darley was great. He's funny and teaches the material so it could be understood by a 15 year old. Too bad last semester was the last time he will teach. I went to him during finals about my dropping test grade due to personal issues/problems and he made an exception for me and gave me an A in the class.

I feel very lucky that I had the chance to be in his class and listen to his great lectures; he was the greatest professor that you could ever ask for. In the other hand, I feel sorry for students who would never have him because of his retirement.

Dr. Darley's class is no game. You gotta be prepared before class: read notes online,go to BLC for help, most importantly talk to him if you do bad on the first test he will help u. Do not hesitate to go to his office and ask for help. He can do many things to help if you ask ahead of time, but there is nothing he can do after the 3rd&4th exams.

darley is hilarious. he def cares not only about the subject, but about the students. he is more than willing to meet with you or whatever it takes to help you. he allowed me to drop my first test and replace it with the questions on the final bc i didn't do well on it. he's an awesome guy! def take his class!!!

If it were possible to be bored to death, this class would have killed me several times over. Memorize all of the lecture notes and required readings and you can maybe pull a B. I ended up studying more for this than Organic I, and that says something.

Very interactive! Includes tons of examples in lectures--even scorpions, if you're lucky. If you come to class and take good notes, you dont even have to touch the text book (except for the pictures). He records his lectures and posts lecture notes online. Tests are intense, covering a lot of material--so study every day, and you'll make an A!! :)

Dr. Darley was an amazing teacher. He doesn't give you fluff, just what's important. I even accidentally slept through a test and he let me make it up! Great guy, great teacher. He really cares about his students--he doesn't want to screw you (unlike some other Bio profs).

Darley is freakin hilarious! i mean...general biology 2...doesnt really appeal to me, but darley is just crazy enough to make it interesting...if only to see what he's gonna say next. and plus he reminds me of alan alda...so thats a plus.

Incredible teacher! Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. He's retiring in May 06 though, so, if you haven't had him yet, or don't have him soon you won't get to have him. Darley truly cares about his students and enjoys teaching, one of the few profs who actually do. Material can be difficult if you don't study or go to class, but if you do those two things you'll do fine.

I was a TA for Dr. Darley. He was great. He was funny, was fair to the students, and was very approachable. As long as you were willing to study for the class regularly, you'd do fine. Only the slackest of slackers couldn't do well in the class.

I don't know how ya'll liked him! He's extremely hard and realtes everything to sex trying to be funny, and he's not because he's sooooo boring. Ridiculously hard for an introductory level biology. Good luck, you'll need it!

Awesome class. It was hard, and you had to study efficiently and thoroughly, but I enjoyed this class more than almost any other at UGA. Darley is an amazing teacher with great class notes and interesting classes. I'd almost take it again just because it was so cool.

Great Teacher. He kept things interesting with visuals and videos. Jokes around a lot so you won't fall alseep. Diffucult tests and a ton of material to memorize and understand.
