He's horrible. As the other users said, he is unclear about everything and picks favorites - if you aren't one, you are screwed. He marks off for stuff he never covered and expects you to know things you haven't been taught yet. Avoid if at all possible! I pulled off a B- by only doing his final project and letting everything else slide.

He's the type of teacher who picks his favorites and if you're not one, you will know it. He'd rather tear a student down rather than build them up. I've learned one good thing from him and that is the importance and use of an X-acto knife. If you have the option of choosing another teacher, do it.

i think he's pretty bad about playing favorites. if he doesn't like you, you can have a lot of trouble with this class. he doesn't help with what he REALLY wants for a project and has a bad habit of marking against things that he never said he wanted or changing what his expectations are as he grades.

I've had Mr. Brief for two classes and he's my advisor. He's not a great teacher but he's also fairly new, i think over time he's getting better. He's kinda weird though, not super personable. As my teacher, I don't mind him, as my advisor, i want a new one.
