You can tell that she tries to be interesting and funny but it often does not work, nonetheless, we all appreciated her efforts. She does random attendance. She uses an online textbook and module site that you will have to pay for.

I took her theories of addiction class (which will be psych 415 fall 2018). Had 3 exams and a final and the choice of either 3 short papers or 1 long paper. No textbook used, so it's strictly powerpoints. Some of them she doesn't post, which kind of sucked. She's good at what she teaches but she can be monotone sometimes. I loved the class though.

There is about three or four tests. She has a clear grading criteria and provides extra credit. The attendance isn't mandatory but make sure to do all your assignments on time. If you make the effort and take the time to study, you will pass the class.

I highly suggest you do not take professor Loos! She is by far the least helpful professor Ive ever had at VCU. She would literally get annoyed when I asked questions about the grading criteria. Her tests are ridiculous if youre aiming for an A, the only reason I received one was because of the extra credit opportunities. Do not take her!

Class was easy but she made it more difficult than it had to be. Study guides were a hassle and she didn't ever respond to my emails. Seems knowledgeable in her field, just isn't a good professor.

She's a nice lady but, I never paid attention and I still received a good grade. Half way through her lectures I think she starts to bore herself and you can tell it in her voice.

Professor Loos gives pretty interesting lectures. You aren't required to come to class, but will have a difficult time getting an A if you don't. There aren't too many tests, but they make up most of your grade. If you attend most classes and do reading to supplement lectures you will be fine.

Doesn't give any feedback. Gave me a D when she lost one of my essays. Ended up with a 69 in the class. I know that you're supposed to be responsible for your work in college, but classes cost too much for a teacher to be careless and cause me to retake. Also didn't respond to any emails. It's not a difficult class, but it's no walk in the park.

Loos's PSYCH 101 class is a simple class. You don't have to show up to get above a B on the tests. Tests are all multiple choice and very easy. Didn't use my textbook all year.

Honestly I can't say much about her as a professor because I've only gone to 2 classes and skipped the rest. That being said, attendance is not mandatory, the tests are easy if you study, only homework are 3 easy papers and labs due weekly (interesting and easy), and thats about it. This class is all about memorization and you're bound to get an A.

This class was incredibly easy. I came to the first few lectures but to be honest I started skipping them, and I still got an A+ in the class. It's pure memorization. Dr. Loos is good, can't say anything bad about her.

Professor Loos is a very good professor. The tests are very wordy so reading the book and studying over notes will be time consuming and helpful. There are 3 writing assignments and 3 tests and a cumulative which can replace the lowest test score. There is also online labs research participation which can help your grade. Just Put the effort in :)

Great professor. The exams are a mix of textbook and lecture material, but not difficult if you put in the time to review your notes (or the powerpoint slides online) and do the readings. Professor Loos was really helpful and responsive, and I would definitely take her class again

Choose Dr. Loos everyone! Psychology. Her delivery of the information to her students is very clear. There are 3 required exams and the final is optional which replaces your lowest exam grade! Having that said, there will be a lot of extra credit, so gain it while you can. This class will easy if you read your notes and textbook for the exams : )

Great psych teacher and fairly easy just don't procrastinate doing the SONA and lab. Get it out of the way early and you'll get through this class in a breeze. Have to write papers, but they're pretty straight up. Going to class isn't essential but I would recommend it.

Posts ALL notes online. Attendance not really necessary. You'll write 3 super easy papers and will need to complete SONA credit, which involves participating in experiments online & in person. Also online labs which don't take too much time. Tests are a bit hard, just make sure to study. I didn't even bother reading anything.
