Comment:
Dr. Sweet is a good professor but very strict with grading. She refuses to curve and doesn't offer any extra credit. The class takes a lot of time and work so even though it's not very difficult material it's still very time consuming to learn everything. She goes quickly through her slides and posts incomplete versions online too.

I did both 316 & 317. By far the hardest Bio course i have taken, 20x worse than cell bio. This course was harder for me than both semesters of Organic Chemistry. Do not ever catch yourself unprepared for anything in this class, it gets harder as it goes. Hardest part is Lab and Lab practicals. Dr sweet is amazing and you must go to open lab!

Terrible. If you can take it somewhere else I highly recommend you do. You will have no time to study for any other class because to her world revolves around her class. Have to spend around 6 hours a week to read and study for her quizzes every monday that are really hard only 10 questions could be anything from up to 2 chapters.

She's simply terrible and uncaring. Claims her class average should be a C-, even though students taking the class need at least a C for the course to even be accepted for graduate school. She also claims a C in her class is really a B somewhere else. Try telling that to graduate programs for your students.

so unfair in a lot of ways. we "click in" to receive attendance points where for most classes its 5/5 points just for being there. For her class, we only got the points if we got her question correct which is impossible. she has quizzes every monday which bring your grade down and her tests are way hard, you wont be able to study for anyother class

This course is tough, require a lot of readings. However Prof Sweet delivered her lectures very clear and interesting. She is very helpful. She is willing to answer your questions after lectures/labs and through email. Though heavy workload, all these help us to learn. Attending the lectures make the quizzes much easier. I got 90% for all quizzes.

My absolute favorite class I've taken at Syracuse. It's tough, it requires a lot of your time, and if you do not thoroughly understand it, you will not succeed. She's one of my favorite professors, is extremely smart, and helps you out in a way that makes you really think; she doesn't just give you the answer, ever. I did very well in her class

She's super sweet and the class is pretty interesting, but she goes pretty fast on a lot of material, so you really need to read the book and do the online homework (which is optional but will get you extra credit in the end)

Incredible woman who genuinely wants you to succeed. Expects you to do the work that the course requires. Learned more in A&P with Ms. Sweet than any class ever

I would not recommend taking this class. Felt very disheartened by the course and professor the entire semester. I would try taking it somewhere else over the summer.

Dr. Sweet is honestly the most terrible professor I have ever had the displeasure of working with. She's extremely unclear in her assignments, gives inaccurate information in class, and her tests are RIDICULOUSLY HARD. As a straight-A student, I've never had to work so hard for a grade in my entire life. Makes me wish I didn't attend Syracuse.

She requires you to study so much for her quizzes. Most of the stuff you learn and study for she would not put on the exam. She does not give you any help and tell you what to study even though we go through so much. Lab is crazy hard. You have to submit your prelabs online. If you can, do not take during the school year, your textbook is your bf.

Dr. Sweet was my favorite professor of all time at SU. While her class was difficult, if you put in the time and effort to read the chapters and learn the material, the class is VERY interesting. My FAVORITE class of all time at SU. Lab practicals are difficult, but if you read the textbook, you will find quizzes and exams are VERY do-able.

Dr. Sweet DOESNT make study anatomy fun for students! Classes are useless, only go for clicker points. Prelabs are ridiculous; those medical Q's don't help class since Google answers the questions. The answer to prelab Q's is only 1 aspect of the problem, you have to answer the right one! TA (I hated my one!) is useless, slow and doesn't care.

This class will run your life. While she is a very good teacher and she does do her best to explain things, her exams, quizzes, and lab practicals are ridiculously hard and the class is not curved. She assigns a ridiculous amount of online homework per week, and has quizzes on multiple chapters of text every week. Reading for this class is a must

This woman is the devil. She expects you to have no life and study over 100 pages of the textbook a week so you can be mildly prepared for her weekly quiz that is set up for failure. She makes the quizzes in a way that it is nearly impossible to succeed. She does not want her students to do good in the class and would enjoy to see her students fail

Take A&P over the summer. Do not take her class. Reasons: she doesn't care about her students, her quizzes every week are close to impossible (sometimes 2 chapters of material 60pgs), if you want to pass forget about your social life because reading that textbook will consume all of your time. That is all.

She has been my least favorite teacher thus far. She will only answer questions after you ask her ten different ways and even then her answer usually contradicts the book. she doesn't scale ANYTHING and I'm 99% sure it's her goal to have most of the class fail.
