I would take him again and twice on Sunday. He knew his subject, was passionate about it, and never lectured from droning notes.

This teacher was amazing. His tests are open notes and he only uses the slides for the test that are in the book. He is extremely knowledgable on the topic and most of the places he has been to himself and uses personal photos. At times he can be very humorous also. I really enjoyed his class. It is super easy if you show up to class and take notes

He likes to focus on the society that produced the art, instead of just the art. You may or may not find this approach interesting; I certainly did. He also likes to throw in random modernisms to catch you off-guard. Tests are challenging, but if you attend every class and at least try to answer questions, you'll do fine.

mikey is a pretty good guy, the only problem i had was that he sometimes sort of rambled on and on not very clearly and it was hard to catch the name and artist of a piece, but if you just raise your hand and ask he clarifies. tests arent' terrible, paper is easy.

Tests are no longer open notes, don't be fooled. Still, you should expect an art history class to be a little more than a breeze. No study guide, but only slides that are also in the book are on the test. This class was really not that hard. Three easy ID tests and one paper, that's it. Get over being lazy and take this class.

Gong is a very hard teacher for two reasons: He is hard to understand in class, and never actually tells the name of the work or artist who did it, he just talks about it. Also, he gives no study guide; thus leaving you to study 250 slides per test... only 5 of which will be on the test. TESTS ARE NOT OPEN NOTE. BEWARE!!

He knows a lot in his field but is very boring to listen to. The tests are not open note but they are really short and easy. When presenting slides he is not too clear on what it is called or anything, which makes it difficult.

Gong is a good guy. Makes Art History classes slightly more interesting than they might have been. Tests are easy but I find I retain a good amount of the info. No reading assignments, 3 open note tests and 1 5-7 page paper.

Teacher makes learning Art History more enjoyable. He's funny and I haven't fallen asleep yet (which in Art History 1 I would fall asleep regularly). Tests are pretty easy. There are 3 tests but he lets you use notes.
