This class has potential to be very interesting. For the most part, however, it's not. She's not engaging at all. She just reads her powerpoints (which are online, so there's no reason to take notes) for two hours, gives us a 10 minute break, and has us watch movies. My class was also in a very uncomfortable classroom, so that didn't help.

she's smart and funny. i mean, a 4 hour class is long, but her lectures are filled with good stories and clips from movies. tests are hard but pretty fair--if you listen well in class, you'll know exactly what will be on them.

So I thought this class would be interesting NO. Sitting in that class for 4 hours never failed to put me asleep. Dont get me wrong she's a really nice lady but if you have a short attention span dont even think about this class. My advice take an easier class for your art GE. Too boring for words

Miranda was pretty intense, but in a good way. Learned lots about film and stuff and class was always fun. Her choice of films was sick! You should look for her classes if you can, you won't regreat it.

Miranda was by far the best teacher I've had at Pepperdine. She pushed us to work hard (though some slacked--looks like they posted here) and improve our writing. She was very approachable and accessible to meet outside class and very helpful. Awesome.
