Most of the literature classes I have taken, or have thoroughly enjoyed, are because of the class discussions. CLASS. Be prepared to not get your opinion on the novels out because this prof will talk majority of the time. Opinions or theories not the same as hers? Prepared to be disregarded.

Terrible professor for a lit class. Assigns a bunch of reading that you will never discuss so she can give a history lesson. Gives five thousand handouts that make assignments even more confusing. Loves to hear herself talk, no room for class participation. Overall annoying, snobby, rude, and unhelpful

I took Missy for Women and Literature. I love her personality! She's an older lady and major feminist. However, her class was very difficult. Make sure you do the readings because she will quiz you on them in class! She also assigns weekly journals about the readings. As much as I love her as a person, I won't take her class again.

Very rude to students, very unclear, won't answer questions. DO NOT take this class through her. DON'T take any class from her. Find another professor and I promise you will enjoy your class so much more and be way more likely to pass.

She's the liberal British grandmother you never had. Even though I'm a total conservative, I still felt like I could have tea with her and invite her to my Christmas gatherings. She knows a LOT, makes you read A LOT, has ambiguous grading, expects a lot of you, but in a good, make-you-want-to-try-harder kind of way. GREAT class, highly recommend!!!

Missy is awesome! She is works hard to make sure she is prepared and can answer your questions thoroughly. Make sure you take notes over sections about the history! If the class makes her mad she will test those sections.
