Comment:

Prof Morgan is a hard marker. She has a lot of expertise, and her background in science somehow makes her seem more credible. As another reviewer said, her mind works very fast, she is obviously very intelligent. Often though, it felt like she would rather be doing something more interesting and intellectual than teaching a lowly undergrad course.

Hard class, but the readings where kind of interesting. She isn't really helpful when it comes paper topics, vague with comments. The smirk is annoying, and she lets people ramble on after class time. Unapproachable and I wouldn't recommend this class to people who want to barely pass because the mid-term and final are incredibly difficult.

She's exciting! Her mind works so fast! You ask her a question and she doesn't even PAUSE...she just answers it right away! And she knows a lot about literature AND science. An inspirational and interesting professor. A tough but fair grader.

Professor is highly intelligent, but an extremely critical and tough marker. She is approachable although she does come off very cold and aloof. The course material is interesting- the final was brutal and she marks ridiculously hard with unclear feedback. She's not the best, but not the worst either.

Good person, but closed minded with the poems. Focuses on odd parts, likes to bring in social and gender issues. Somewhat hard marker. Paraphrases after every students' comment - however you take that. Personally didn't enjoy her method - no new insight, not enough fresh ideas. Ironic smirk pretty annoying too. Does that discredit me?

Monique is awesome. There are sometimes difficult people in the class but she always knows how to handle them. She is really passionate about the material and it's funny how she approaches things ironically and sighs.

You didn't happen to connect with her, fine, but don't bash her when you barely even know anything about her. If you are open minded and ask the right questions of her i think you will be rewarded. Prof appears to be willing to help and be receptive to differing ideas on the surface, but this doesn't carry over in practice. Great prof, great class, we read poetry and short stories and talk about it. Morgan leads the students, but doesn't tell us what to think. She's precise and generous, and her academic and personal enthusiasm for her subject is contagious.
