first of all, his section average was 10% lower than other sections. If that doesnt say enof, his lectures are dry and useless, u learn more from online slides. Doesnt reply to emails, spends time teaching irrelevant things that are never showing up on exams. He def put u at a disadvantage when every section write the same final exam. worst prof.

Useless in lectures, and even worse the material isn't the easiest stuff to understand! MT was difficult. Don't worry tho, second half bertram is great, grade rockets back up. Shapiro is a bad prof tho.

Ineffective teacher, lectures did not strike interest, notes are useless... MT was killer and did not test your knowledge of the course but rather technical details...

I'm sure he knows his subject very well but has no idea how to convey it to students. Lectures are boring - basically us staring at him blankly while he derives endless equations with partial derivatives.

What is going on in the course???? I can see from the eyes of my colleagues most (95%) of the class is just staring into space as he derives every equation using calculus.

A really nice guy...however he just cant teach. He was probably the worst professor I have ever had. He does no examples in class and spends his time deriving 180 formulas over the course of 6 weeks. He gave the exact same midterm as last year however. Make sure to download it right away.

Make sure you do all the problem sets. Midterm is extremely similar (half of the questions are exactly the same) to old ones, though he won't post it. By the way, get every material that is on webCT at the beginning of the term, he'll remove them and never post them back. He's a nice guy who just can't teach.

160+ equations in the notes and no formula sheet for the midterm? I mean, just because he's a genius and he's able to memorize thousands of equations at a time doesn't mean we can do the same. He's a nice guy, and very smart, but he just can't teach effectively. Lectures and notes are boring and extremely difficult to understand.

This professor is very intelligent and he knows his material very well. He is also willing to help. However, he just isn't very good at teaching. His lectures are dry and confusing. His powerpoint presentations are hardly effective, as they are merely slides consisted of a bunch of text with limited amount of visuals.

Moshe is a very solid instructor, despite what the commments below will have you think. Yes, the material is hard, but it's extremely do-able IF you put in the time to understand your notes after each class. Don't expect to learn this stuff the first time, that's what the kinetics portion is for.

Super nice guy who is just way too smart to be teaching a relatively lower level class. Everything comes way too easy to him, so I don't think he realises people are struggling with the material. Luckily Bertram more than makes up for his shortcomings.

He does not know how to teach. He spent 6 weeks teaching us thermo, and his midterm tested only the last week of his lectures. Midterm was unlike the notes and lectures (I have no idea how we were supposed to study) and EXTREMELY unfair. His notes are useless. Avoid him at all costs.
