Took this class online. The massive amounts of online articles you have to read are ridiculous. Especially since she poorly records "lectures" that are only 15-30 mins long and doesn't add much to the discussion. The quizzes are easy. Forum posts are easy. Paper is a pain...

This class is easy in terms of grading but hard in terms of the amount of information you have to slog through to find the information you need to complete assignments. Her papers are a pain (2 pages of instructions for a 5 page paper) but she grades them easy if you plug in the required elements.

Comment:

This course was great. A real must for tomorrow's business people. It's much more than a marketing course, it illustrates the value of using smarter concepts in business that have to do with social and environmental responsibility. This is an on line course, and I found the material that Prof. Artz put together to be invaluable. Take it!

Nancy teaches a class where you get what you put into it. If you meet with her one on one (i suggest - she is brilliant and easier to talk with and clearifies points this way) and actually push you will absorb so much. If youre not interested its because youre challenging yourself enough. she cant force you to want to learn...

Prof Artz has her heart in the right place but this class is a bit much. The grading is fair to easy but the sheer number of hoops you have to jump through is ridiculous. Lots of busy work and the MCA paper is a pain. Don't take it unless you have to!

I took the class online. Seems intimidating, once you start going it really isn?t bad! extra credit opportunities. Quizzes are very specific questions about readings or media clips, do it all at once! Two papers, but you can team up with someone. Usually gets back to you in the same day. Very fun, approachable, and open minded.

in class she can be hard to understand. but once you meet with her out of class it is easy to see she has a wealth of knowledge and on a one-on-one basis she is able to better explain what she means. it took me a couple of classes to warm up to her, but i know now that if you make a point to talk with her, she respects you more and youll learn more

She's not the greatest teacher in the world, but she's a cool lady. She ended up having online lectures and only meeting in class once a week. I would have rather her lectured in person because it was so hard to pay attention to the online lectures. Have to do a group paper, oral final(which I had a bad experience with), and weekly online quizzes.

I took the environmental class she taught with Dudley. We watched a lot of great videos and had interesting discussions. I didn't think they were the greatest - both are definitely snooty and condescending at times - but I'd still recommend the class.

Nancy's part of the BUS 101 class is a scheduled nap every week. She'll just drone on and on about teams. Teams this, Teams that... If her section of the course was deleted it wouldn't hurt a bit.
