Professor Curtin is an amazing professor; she is extremely knowledgable about the subject and fills her lectures with her own commentary, which is pretty funny. She gives you possible questions for the final and midterm ahead of time, so if you prepare you're fine. The quizzes are hard, but if you use the textbook to study you'll be fine.

Not very helpful and the material is very hard, but she is a phenomenally knowledgeable professor with a great sense of humor. Lectures are enjoyable, but papers and tests are graded harshly.

This professor has no respect for students. She is a really tough grader and does not help students with preparation for tests. I went to her for extra help very often and it did not reflect my grade. I took six classes this semester and I had all A's expect for her class.

Dr. Curtin is an extremely intelligent woman who cares about her students and wants them to learn. She is very in touch with pop-culture and can relate just about any historical event to things happening in today's society, which makes class interesting. Class is very straightforward, midterm and final exam with one essay. Take her class!

Nancy Curtin is absolutely AMAZING! She asks interesting and thought provoking questions that make us think about how history was viewed by those living in it. She values participation, and gives very helpful paper comments. She will also count a good grade with more weight than a bad grade when it comes to papers. TAKE NANCY CURTIN

Dont take her unless you want to write and memorize pages of essays that you write yourself and she wont even consider half decent. Of all of my classes, her final and midterm cause me the most stress. Don't take the class unless you want to be a suck up and still not guarantee yourself a good grade.

For a core class she made it bearable and interesting. Great personality and sense of humor, very nice. Consists of midterm, one short (3-5 pgs.) paper, and final. Throughout the semester 20 point quizzes are given out based on the textbook reading, she drops the lowest 2 grades. Definitely recommend her.

she is very nice. her lectures are a bit boring, but she tries to make a few witty jokes here and there. attendance is not mandatory but it will definitely help alot. kinda tough grader on essays. But she gives everyone B+ or higher as final grades!! very easy and helpful if you go to her during her office hours. i would definitely take her again

Totally cool and my favorite teacher at Fordham. Took her for three classes including senior seminar. Very into Irish/British history and has tons of up to date knowledge about subject. Uses powerpoint for class. Extremely fair in grading. You will get what you deserve and put into the class. I can't say enough nice things about her classes.

She only gives one paper, a midterm exam and a final exam. There's also about eight weekly quizzes that she gives but you can drop the 3 lowest scores. She also posts her notes online. As long as you download the notes, you should be fine. pay attention to the syllabus because it has sites that extremely helpful in passing quizzes.

Probably my favorite teacher at Fordham. She's extremely knowledgable and at points hilarious. Also she gives interesting lectures, so interesting I actually went to class....everytime. She gives a fair amount of reading but it's worth it. Take her.
