Definitely cares about his students and tries to make lectures engaging with the class. I mostly worked on other homework during lectures and still managed to ace the exams. Fill out the study guide - it gets pretty long, but it covers most of the exam material. Tells you ahead of time about in-class video quizzes. Gives TONS of easy extra credit!

Dr. Scott is a great teacher with a ton of experience in the field, which he brings to class to help make the course material come to life. Attendance is not mandatory, but every day you miss you miss a LOT, so go as much as you can!

He learns names and faces faster than any professor I've met! Exams are hard but his study guides tell you exactly what to study and where to find it. He has the best stories to tell during lecture. His notes are mostly a direct summery of the stuff in the book. His voice is very quiet and smooth though...easy to fall asleep to after lunch...

Strange class. His lectures are interesting & I enjoyed them, but they did not prepare me at all for the tests. You have to know the textbook pretty well. I didn't like that he'd post the lecture's outline after class. Having it before would make note taking much easier. Also, he was always late posting notes on WebCT. Tests aren't too hard though.

really interesting subject matter, REALLY BORING lecturer. Nice guy, really needs to work on lecturing style. Rambles about basic stuff: history, dates, technical definition. Very little about case studies, implications of disorders, treatment, or anything interesting

Interesting class...boring PROFESSOR. Sorry Norm. Very nice guy but tends to ramble on about basic stuff. He loves to tell personal stories that could be summed up in about half the time he spends. Overall good class and easy A for being a 400 level. Be sure to read the book
