I've taken Walker Calc II class last year and absolutely loved his class. I went out my way and adjusted my work schedule to take his Calc III class for this previous smstr. Walker a fantastic down to earth guy. His handwriting is messy, but after a while, you get used to it. I recommend taking Calculus with this guy. He really knows his stuff.

One compliant is that sometimes he just goes to fast. He's a benevolent grader on tests. He gives you study guide which are similar to the test. Come to his office hours and he'll explain concepts you didn't quite understand in class. If you haven't took Calc 2 before this class seems daunting, but just keep trying and you will pass.

I personally did not enjoy Norman Walker. He is not a teacher that explains in general, the concept, before going on to example problems. He hands out a worksheet and immediately goes to solving each problem on the board, but doesn't clearly explain how he's solving each one. He's a great guy, but his teaching style certainly is not for everyone.

Walker is the man to take math with. I always look forward to attending his class, the highlights of my week. Walker is a math genius, He really know his stuff. Though, his handwriting can sometimes be hard to read, but you get used to it after a month or 2. He operates quickly, methodical, and points out cool tricks.

Professor Walker is great if you're struggling with math. He gives you all the homework assignments on the first day, and answers any questions you have on it in class. He also gives worksheets for each lesson and does them with you. Tests are easy and he drops the lowest one.

I did not enjoy having Professor Walker for my math class. All he does is give out worksheets and do them on the board every class. I did not enjoy his class. He would get off topic about some random stuff and start doing irrelevant problems that confused everyone. Also for our last class before the final he gave us a test instead of review.

Professor Walker is one of my favorite professors. Very much enjoyed his teaching style and ability to operate "On the fly". We had a couple dates come up that we were not ready for. Walker changed things around to make it work for us. If you talk, he listens. He will also give you ways to help your grade. Class may seem hard. Just stick with it!

Professor Norman is a really good professor. He helps you understand the material. However, he is pretty quick, so if you dont like fast paced lectures, pick a different professor. He gives Extra Credit sometimes and the homework really raises up your grade. He is caring, and respectful. Make a good use of his office hours. Very kind professor.

If you do the homework and turn it in it is a HUGE help to your grade. Bumps it up by a full letter at least. Also drops lowest test. Fairly easy tests.

Norman is the best math teacher I've had so far. He had no problem interacting with students, gives helpful worksheets and handouts daily, assigns homework (which seems like alot) but adds extra points to your grade. Easy grader, a little all over the place but means well, mathematical genius. He really tries and that's what makes him good.

Let me start of by saying HE IS A GENIUS !!! he knows his stuff ... Sadly, being a genius does not translate to being a good teacher.. When it comes to lectures, he is all over the place... Expect to get confused quickly... In my case most learning was outside of class.. He made easy understandable material seem hard.. Take class at your own risk

It is the second math. class I have taken at SCC. Overall communication is below average. He doesn't respond to your emails. He can't not grade your tests correctly. And this guy is a math teacher. I had to correct him a few times. He goes too fast in his lectures. His tests are harder than what he teaches. Uses many tricks.

One of those impressive math genius types that doesn't translate into a good teacher. He knows crazy complex math like the back of his hand. Lectures are terrible: informal and unstructured, worst handwriting on the board I've ever seen. You will have crappy notes if you only copy what he writes on the board. But he gives easy straightforward tests

Professor Norman Walker is an interesting fellow who is very interactive with his students. If you simply do not understand math like myself, he is the teacher for you. He will explain everything in several different ways until you understand. His handwriting is horrible but he is such a nice guy, does it matter? Easy grader (in my opinion)

Prof. Walker is pretty good. His lectures can sometimes be disorganized and fast paced, but I didn't really mind. He's really laid back and passionate about math and he will get off subject from time to time. He assigns A LOT of homework but you also have a lot of time for it. He reviews each exam and usually the exams are close to the reviews.

He's a reasonable teacher with expected exams problems and finals, as he gives you previous released exams. Tests are delayed if you ask for it. However, he is disorganized, has illegible handwriting, and is forgetful.

Smart guy with a very likeable, laid-back personality. He always asked for class input before making decisions on testshw, and was always eager to help. Tests were generally easy, but he does like to throw some curveballs. Very generous when it comes to grading (for instance, 89%+ A in class). A bit disorganized and forgetful, though.
