Comment:

Dr. Lieske was by far the worst instructor I have come across in my time at Kent. She is downright rude and condescending. She gives assignments but the directions are not clear and when asked, she makes you feel like you are stupid. If you do not share the same opinion or way of doing things as her, you will struggle and/or fail, play her game.

She was a pretty great professor, but came off as rude and be hard to understand. She wants all her students to pass. If you do not put in the time and effort, you will not succeed! She's always available after class, and gives very helpful feedback! She's a really tough grader but that is only because she wants you to reach your full potential

Her online course is very hard. She expects you to do a lot of assignments in a short amount of time. If your essays or short papers dont match her opinions then she literally rips your writing to pieces. Worst/hardest professor.

I liked this professor and her class, yeah she makes you write a lot but that's the point of a writing class. She didn't mess around, if you weren't willing to give your best she wasn't willing to waste her time which I agree with since this is college, not high school.

Dr. Lieske is one of the best professors at Kent State Trumbull. She expects only the best from her students. She is willing to work very hard with any student to make sure they won't fail her class. I am truly a better writer because of Dr. Lieske.

Comment:

One of the most condescending professors I've ever had in my university experience. I'm not sure why some professors feel the need to act so much more worthy of oxygen than their students, but this is one of them. I will say that the professor was helpful in completing assignments, but the overall attitude is one I cannot condone. Avoid if you can.

I like Dr. Lieske, a lot of these people complaining probably just didn't want to put in the effort. Sit up front, pay attention and write, thats it. It is pretty clear what is expected. As long as you try you'll be fine. I am definitely a much better writer because of her. You will be reading a bit as well. Writing Center will save you!

This professor is a nightmare. She'll bury you in pointless assignments and give you terrible essay grades if you don't write exactly the way she wants. Coming to this class ruins my day, and her rewrites and "posts" (you'll learn to hate that word) ruin the plans I have for the weekend. Avoid her class at all costs.

Had her for college writin 1, she is a nice person but not the best profesor. She doesn't teach you how to write an essay "dr liske" way, therefore she find it incorrect. Gives alot of vista posts and reading assingments then essays and rewites at same time. If you plan to work hard take her and you will learn A lot!

I took her for Great Books II assignments:3 five page essays,vista posts& in-class quizzes.If you read the boring stories in the book that are 20+ pages long you will do fine, they are hard. She is nice but confusing.She tells you how to do things then marks you off saying you aren't supposed to do that.Hard to please! Very critical on writing!!

I took Dr. Lieske for college writing I and she knows what she is talking about. She is willing to go out of the way to help you or even direct you to the learning center. She has you post about assigned readings & for your essays you write if you do bad you get to rewrite them. your grade is 5 essays, a research paper, and vista posts. Nice

This professor is by far one of the worst professors I have ever had. She apparently doesn't know the meaning of constructive criticism, and doesn't respect other students who don't agree with what she says. Prof Lieske is by far the hardest teacher at Kent Trumbull... She is very opinionated, and if your opinion doesn't match hers, you're going to do terrible. She thinks there is only one way to write, which is her way, and if you don't write that way, you're also going to do terrible. I personally would do all I can to avoid her at all costs.

Dr. Lieske respects individuals, whether they are male or female. She has a thorough knowledge of literature, and that showed in her teaching. She expected students to do their assignments, and pushed them to do their best. Dr. Lieske was always willing to help, and was available to anyone who accepted her help.

This teacher turned me off when it came to English. I found her instructions to be very unclear. Expectations presented weren't followed through. The teacher didn't protect the privacy of the students. In her defense, the writing hand book required for this course was insightful.
