I absolutely love Professor Crews. I took her Earth, Space & Science class and passed it. She is very helpful and gives extra credit. Attendance is mandatory because you definitely don't want to miss any information. She will help you if you don't understand the material. She gives good feedback and good lectures. Definitely would take her again.

Professor Crews is very sweet and cares a lot for her students. She does not put in grades which has made me confused and not knowing how I was doing in the course. But otherwise, great teacher!

Comment:

I had this professor for GLY 1010C and ESC 1000. You do quite a few assignments in class, but they are not boring. The assignments are very helpful with being able to remember the material. You also have online assignments, reading and taking a quiz. You do a 5 minute quiz every morning, they are graded but also count as extra points on the tests.

This class was tough but the teacher is great! I also took her ESS1000L class and a lot of things that came up in one class, came up again. She will work with you and help you but you need to work for it! I almost failed because I wasn't doing my part but she was so understanding and worked with me so I ended with a C in both classes.

Mcgraw hill is a portion of your grade. 5 minute quizzes in the beginning of each class are used for bonus points. Which is to help you towards your final and midterm exam. I had to constantly ask her to add in my grades. Her grading is based off of points and percentages which is a little confusing . Good at responding to emails.

Professor Crews is dedicated to her course and to the students that are willing to get the best of her class. Every class is important due the lecture that will be part of the 5-question quiz that she gives it one time per week. The quizzes are pointes that are used toward the midterm and final exam. I found her teaching technique very helpful.

Professor crews has very good lectures. Her notes are everything that Will be on quizzes, tests, and homework. There are five minutes quizzes at the very beginning of each class and the point are all added to your tests as bonus points. There are so much extra credit and bonus points, you shouldnt earn less then a B.

I would not recommend this professor. She didn't quite explain everything to the best of her ability, I had to get a lot of help from others but study for exams, quizzes, and don't be late you will be penalize. You can't re-do quizzes and be ready to take notes. Good Luck!

She is very helpful and kind. Most assignments allow for group work. There is a five minute quiz each week that is given at the beginning of class. Do not be late and DO NOT MISS CLASS. Missing one class could cause for a lost of nearly 25 points. Lots of bonus points and extra credit opportunities! It's almost impossible to fail this course.

I'll start by saying Patricia is nice and I don't dislike her as a person. As a professor though? Awful. Worst class I've taken so far. Don't bother unless you're obsessed with Oceanography. Boring/drab lectures. Constant quizzes. Hard tests. Homework is graded very strictly. Must have a lot of free time on your hands to ace this class.

Overall, she is a great professor. DO NOT MISS CLASS and do not be tardy to class. Make sure to do all of the bonus point opportunities that are given on a regular. Study any notes covered in class because her 5 question quizzes contain information directly from notes taken during the previous class.

Professor Crews made this class interesting and fun! The activities she had set up helped you to visualize and understand what was being taught. Make sure you get to class on time so you can take her weekly quiz (it's given during the first 5 minutes of class). Show up, take notes, pay attention and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Numerous assignments through Wiley+, in class assignments, 5-minute pop quiz every class, extra credit given periodically. It's not really a hard class just make sure you attend every class because every point counts. :) Make the effort and you'll do just fine.

This class was pretty easy if you came to class and paid attention. The labs were fun even for someone like me who isn't the least bit interested in Geology. I did not like the fact that all quizzes and assignments were online. It felt like I was doing the work of two classes, because the stuff she went over in class was not on the quizzes.

She was completely unorganized and instead of being able to pay attention in her class i spent half of the time asking everyone "what does she want us to do again?" and most of the time they didn't even know! I took her class because everyone else's review on here, but i really wish i would not have taken it.

Professor Crews was a fantastic professor. If you study for the midterm and final, and do the homework and in-class problems, it is an easy A. She does do a lot of hands-on experiments, but it's not unbearable by any stretch!

Hybrid class. The class is confusing and she is a bit disorganized. Daily quizzes and problems based off the lecture the class before. Her lectures made no sense. It's like she just comes up with topics out of nowhere, and I didn't know what I was supposed to know. Her mini-labs are useless and confusing. 2 tests. Lots of bonus points given though.

The class itself was easy. Directions were very unclear! Professor Crews knows her science information, she just does not convey what needs to be done in a very clear manner. Field trips are mandatory. While easy, you must keep pressing her to try to get her to explain exactly what it is she wants.

Easy class. I took her 12 week class when I should have taken the 7 week or something because we have class every other week in person and every other week online. I worked out well but still; it was that easy to me.
