Unlike the review below, I think Professor Kwan is reasonable. She allows her students to resubmit assignments she graded and gives gd feedback on why you got the answer wrong. It appears she wants the best out of her students and is willing to give a helping hand if u need it. Plus, she responded to most of my emails.

I took 91L with Pat Kwan. Her grading is harsh and unreasonble. Her expectations for her students are so high, not even the brightest MIS students can expect to get an A. Go with Mike Splane. He's way more understanding than Pat. I also got a "I don't care attitude" from her. And she rarely responds to your emails.

Professor Kwan is very caring and understanding. Email her when you have a question and she will try her best to help. There are many stuffs about excel to learn in this course for beginner. If you do the assignment and homework every week, you should be able to pass her class easily.

Take the practice exam for sure! Professor Kwan wants her students to do well and is there if you need help. Don't waste your time taking it if you can take the Challenge Exam and opt out of 91L instead.

kwan teaches really really fast. attendance is optional and you DONT need a book! speaks quickly and is extremely knowledgable with powerpoint, excel, and word. easy class if you computer programs. if you dont, just attend and listen up. ask questions when u need to and she is very helpful if you are polite! DO RECOMMEND! for 91L

A sweet/helpful teacher and you don't need to read the book (online). Go to class; she teaches you everything you need to know. She can be slow sometimes and may go overtime by 10-15 mins, but it's better than studying by yourself. Just do the hw and follow the instructions exactly as stated. Super easy class, esp. if you're good with computers.

oh yeah, this is the worst teacher ever for BUS 188. her exams are hard and u always ends up with C. the lectures are so boring to the degree that no one come to class. as an advice, try another teacher .

Kwan is a good teacher, but sometimes she is not very clear as to how to do certain portions of the homework. However, she is VERY willing to give you individual attention, doens't have a big ego, and is very knowledgeable. She's a nice person, and i learned a LOT about MS Excel and Powerpoint.

This was the worst course that I have had throughout my college experience. Professor Kwan is a nice lady, and I think she cares about people, but she is quite possibly the worst instructor I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR FOR ANY CLASS.
