Overall a very pleasent, smart and sociable teacher. At times, he was hard to understand, but he was also a leniant grader. He was one the few teachers I ever had that allowed students to redo assignments and resubmit them with no penalty.

Most unclear nonsense I've ever heard. I had to get up and ask him about some of the questions on a test and he didnt even get close to telling me anything that came close to being what I was asking about. After about my fourth attempt at explaining what I was asking I had to sit down because I was really close to hitting this guy in the face.

A horrible teacher and communicator. He spends half the class saying how he has class notes on the web. Which, by the way, are not very helpful. He gives quizzes every other week and it takes him 2-3 weeks to grade them. He doesn't even go over or let you see the quizzes you have taken.

Patrick Hays is the worst professor at western. He is not helpful and usually comes to class totally unprepared. He will sometimes refuse to discuss homework and his tests do not reflect his class lecture.
