Provides relatively witty humor here and there in lectures but mostly is a boring lecturer. Tests are a very difficult experience, leaving very little room for error. Will not curve the grade of an exam, even if half of the class fails. On one exam, the highest grade was a 90%. Be wary of taking her class.

Weekly reading was heavy and TF quizzes are given every week to make sure you did the reading. Tests are open bible, but doesn't help too much since she is a tough grader. Toss your beliefs aside here, she doesnt care if she offends you. Lectures can go off topic, I would bringing a laptop to class

Dr. Viviano is frighteningly knowledgeable in this area of study, and a genuinely kind woman. Her lectures were interesting, and she always incorporated humorous stories, personal and otherwise. There is a reading quiz once a week that consists of 10 T/F questions that are drawn from the textbook. Fear not, you will be well-prepared for the exams.

She was extremely harsh and negative about the bible, said many things that were rude/upsetting to hear. Expects you to read the entire bible by the end of the semester in addition to 100 pages a week assigned used for the weekly quiz. extremely specific and makes the wording on tests/quizzes really difficult to decipher what exactly she is asking

Comment:
Viviano's class is horribly boring, and she doesn't really focus on what is in the textbook-she tends to go off on tangents. She grades harshly and expects a lot out of you. The exams aren't bad if you study for them, as most of it is objective. She isn't very clear when answering questions. If you can, find a different professor.

She isn't always clear, and she rants about many different things when she lectures. You will use the books a lot, and she is a tough grader on the 10 1-page essays that are required. Lots of reading and studying needed for an A but it's possible. Try to get a different professor, but I have learned a lot.

Try to get a better professor for this class if you can, but she isn't the worst possible teacher. It definitely takes a good amount of work to get an A. There are many quizzes and essays. She tends to call people out who aren't paying attention. However, as a christian I learned a decent amount about christian theology.

TOUGH CLASS! She is very nice, class is interesting.. BUT she expects you to know EVERYTHING IN DETAIL! I could not keep up and had to withdrawal from this class. But if Theo is your thing than you'd probably enjoy her class, she really does do a good just teaching the material, but i have a problem retaining it...

She is boring and very rude. Don't bother using a laptop to take notes in her class, she calls your name every 5 minutes and yells at you if you look at your screen for longer than 30 secs because she thinks you aren't taking notes. HORRIBLE and ANNOYING (Quizzes every week on 50 pages of the textbook at a time). Would not EVER take again. EVER.

Viviano's a very interesting teacher, but there's a lot of material covered every week. On top of reading up to 50 pgs in the book for a quiz, you have to keep up with the lectures. The quizzes are easy if you actually read..literally 10 sentences picked out from what you read, which is a little annoying.

Go to class because everything on the exams is from her lectures. you have quizzes from the readings every week but its not too bad, especially if you find OT interesting, (theyre T or F quizzes) overall easy.

LOVE THIS WOMAN! Dr Viviano is delightful, witty, sarcastic, and entertaining! She's knowledgeable and makes the class easy. Quizzes are once a week, based off textbook reading. With good notes and attentiveness, good test grades are easy to get, as 100% of test content is from lectures. She explains what is unclear and cares a lot about students!

Professor actually cares if her students succeed, very helpful if you have an issue in the class. Quizzes once a week but they aren't difficult if you scan the reading. Very clear notes. I would recommend as a THEO core.

She's nice, but this class is a nightmare. Fifty pages of reading a week and you are quizzed on ten sentences out of the whole reading. I am a straight A student and I struggled so much in this class. Barely anyone gets As on the quizzes. Tests are graded harshly, no extra credit.

She is very reasonable. There is a quiz once a week on the reading (10 T/F, with 2 lowest scores dropped). Three tests that are challenging but she gives you a study guide with everything on it. She doesn't take attendance, but you will need all the notes for tests. She keeps her lectures fairly interesting and she's pretty nice!

SHe is a really nice teacher. There are weekly quizzes on the reading from the textbook, which are 10 T/F questions. For the tests she gives a study guide. Whatever is on the study guide is on the test and the notes. The tests are long, but are possible to finish.

She's a good teacher with a bad attitude problem. But dont let that stop you from taking the class. She is a fair grader and although the tests are long they are directly from the notes and she gives you a study guide that has everything on it. You need to read your book weekly because there are weekly quizzes. Good class though! She is also helpful

Professor Viviano needs to get off her high horse. She knows what she is talking about but comes across very arrogant and unapproachable. She is disrespectful and picks on certain people in class. Her tests are ridiculously long. She is helpful, though, with providing an accurate study guide for tests.

She is a very clear teacher, but the only problem is that there is too much material that is needed to know for the tests. There are 3 tests 25% each, and 11 quizzes 25%. She is very smart and knows what she is talking about. Take notes, ask questions, and don't underestimate multiple choice/t,f/matching/essay tests
