Dr. Boolchand structures his classes to be very theoretically based. Understanding the material, and concepts is much more important to him rather than doing problems. In his classes, you must spend time trying to understand the theory and then you will do well on his tests. He is very straightforward about his structure and an excellent professor.

This class is much easier if you brush up on your multi-variable calculus beforehand. Dr. Boolchand goes through many proofs during lectures that only can make sense if you follow the math.

I did graduate-level research with Dr. Boolchand for 3 years in high school. Dr. Boolchand permit me to do independent research in his lab and publish multiple peer reviewed papers. My internship helped me gain problem-solving, error analysis, and science-reading skills. I highly recommend asking him for a research opportunity. Start early in HS.

I started off my career as a Computer Scientist but it wasn't until I took my first QM course in Winter 2003 with Prof. P. Boolchand, that I decided to switch careers and become a Physicist. Prof. Boolchand's exciting educational style, curious mind, and scientific intellect had a tremendous impact on my academic career ever since. I owe him a lot.

I had him for Fields 2. All of the homework he assigns are nearly irrelevant to the exams and finals. Not really sure why he has such a high rating. He is basically 90% derivation and theory. No equation sheets for exams, which means long hours of memorizing equations you will never use again.Should you need to use them again,refer back to the book

Professor is so helpful to the students and he cares about them in transformation of knowledge. He is dedicated and make sure that we learn something from the course. His tests and assignments are manageable,provided we need to put some time. I consider him as one of the best professors i have worked with

Boolchand is great. He's really monotone, but if you can manage to stay awake, you'll learn a lot from him. You'll still have to read the text, and since he does a lot of derivations (at least for EM 2) you need to have a firm grasp of the calc 4 to be able to follow him. Super nice guy too.

I have to give Dr.Boolchand a top rating. He is one of the best professors Ive had so far. He cares alot about the students learning the material rather than spitting a bunch of notes at you. If you work hard in his class he will reward you.
