Comment:
For a class that meets literally once every two weeks, there is literally no communication or organization. I have never done so poorly in a level 100 class before all because the content that is on the quizzes is not in our book. There is no instruction or guidance to any of the projects or assignments. Do not recommend.

I am a senior and have had this professor almost every year. I liked her until now. I took a nonverbal communication HYBRID ELECTIVE. Sounds easy right?? I think NOT. I have never had more tests and quizzes in a class before in my LIFE. Every week we had at least two online tests due. She words them so confusingly. She never emails back. HORRIBLE

I took it as hybrid. All the tests are online, open books and notes. She tries to make everything easy as possible. Not the most exciting class, not the worst.

Hybrid lots of homework, but it's not horrible. It's hard to find assignments on ecampus because it's super unorganized. She makes the quizzes so you can't go back and change your answers which is honestly ridiculous to me. I emailed her for help once and she never answered. Not my favorite professor, but put in the effort and you'll be fine.

The class is hard. Can't just talk your way around stuff like some other classes. Get the book right away. Use the study sessions she has during finals week. I went to 3 of them and she seriously helps you with any questions until you get it right, including the eCampus part.

I didn't love the class. Hybrid means alot of work on your own. This whole semester feels rushed, like noone has a feel for 14weeks semester yet. But she's nice enough and gives schedule adjustments if something needs more class time.

Cons--lots of work, the content is dry, ecampus is a pain. Pros--helpful, holds optional study times for harder content, offers extra credit. Follow along and do the work and its fine.

Had her for a hybrid class and she told us at the start of the semester it was going to be really hard, but I didn't really find that to be the case. As long as you keep up with the work, you'll do fine. There's a lot of work, but all of it is online and not particularly difficult. As a professor she's pretty nice and understanding.

Had her for two hybrid classes. She expects you to do all the assigned online work and if you don't the tests are rough. She is helpful and if you do everything the classes are fine.

Had her for Research Methods. The class was a hybrid and most of the work was online. The actual classtime was kind of useless, just a review of what we already did online. She stopped giving us grades at midterms so I had no idea how I was doing until finals. But the class isn't hard at all and she's fairly nice.

Sanford is a really nice professor, all the work was pretty much done online. I did not like the fact that she never updated our grades throughout the semester so you're pretty much lost and don't even have a hint of what your grade will be till the very end of the semester.

It's a required class but it could be worse. Lots of busy work is assigned, however all tests and quizzes are online and taken at your leisure. Dr. Sanford is very approachable and helpful during office hours.

This class was harder with Prof S than for friends who took a different prof, but Prof S was always available to help. I went to the study sessions for the final exam and we worked on everything, which made the exam much easier. Alot of work, but is always ready to help you.

This class was A LOT of work. Having said that, all the quizzes and exams were online. There was one big project but a lot of little homeworks throughout the semester. Overall I thought she was a good professor, but she takes forever to grade things so you never really know what you have in the class until it's over.

Do not take if you want to blow off FreshSem class, but oh well its college. Anyone that complains just does not want to do work. Quizzes are open book and lecture notes are online. There is a lot of college life stuff covered. Doctor Sanford is fine and class is not hard if you just do the work.

Dr. Sanford is possibly the most irritating teacher I have had the displeasure of working with in my college career. She is demeaning, patronizing, and demanding. I would not recommend her class to anyone. The only positive is that her syllabus is clear and easy to follow -- even if it contains a TON of work.

Com Res Meths: sweetest professor at this school. Topics may be boring but she tries her hardest to make them interesting. You have about 5 tests throughout the semester but their on ecampus and open notes. You write about 4 papers too and their not long. Only downfall is that you never get any papers back but overall easy class if you do your work

Dr.Sanford is not only a great professor but she is also a great academic adviser. She really goes out of her way for her students and really explains the course material well. I loved that she only kept the class for as long as she needed to give her lesson and not the whole class period if she doesn't need to.

The Sanford is one of the best. The workload is massive, but that comes naturally with the subject. She is friendly and helpful, always willing to answer any questions. As a bonus, it is always enjoyable to sit through one of her classes. Sanfordland is highly recommended.
