Great class! I enjoyed the lectures and the book that he required as well. If you give it a chance, it's easy to read and really helps clarify everything. You have only three or four homeworks a semester but he gives you a couple weeks to finish each one.

I love Prof. Dixon! He is very straight forward and doesn't make the class hard to pass. Offers a full page cheat sheet for exams. Very limited and easy homework. He truly is such a sweetheart. I would definitely take his class again, and i'm not very good at science so. Take him!

Tells you everything you need to know for the test in class. Allows a full sheet of paper "cheat sheet" on exams. Easy homework. Interesting lectures.

Super funny and relaxed professor. The class itself wasn't easy, but it's an easy A if you actually go to class and can formulate a solid cheat sheet. He lets you use a full page front & back. He also randomly gives attendance extra credit. He has his notes on TRACS, but a lot of material on the exams are from his lectures.

For exams you can have a full page front and back full of whatever you want. Go to class though so you understand what everything means. He takes attendance randomly 3 times so make sure you go to class for that too. He knocks on the wall for important stuff so make note of that.

Dr. D was great! He lets you have a full page cheat sheet front & back for each exam (4 exams) & 3 HW (1 is a group assignment). He takes attendance 3 times randomly throughout the semester, so go to class, they are worth 5 points each. If he knocks on the wall during a lecture, WRITE IT DOWN. This class is an easy A if you pay attention.

This guy allows a cheat sheet during exams which is nice, but even with all the information on one page I still failed his tests. They are incredibly hard. Same with the homework. Make sure you get into a group chat with all the students for help with this class. He also has the "I have a Ph.D. so call me Dr and not Mr in emails" mentality.

The very first test was super hard and unexpected even though you get a whole cheat sheet, front and back. The tests after the first are incredibly easier, but that does not mean take it easy on the cheat sheet or studying. 3 homework assignments, one is a group project and he has 3 random attendance quizzes for extra credit.

Dixon is cool. if he knocks on the wall you better write it down. There are 3 hw grades and 4 test that it and then the occasional quiz in class. going to class is needed so you know what he talking about from the slides. over all not a bad class just hard to get points back after losing them.

Make sure you attend class. You are allowed a cheat sheet during test but just copying and pasting lectures on there typically doesn't help unless you know what he is already talking about. I took him during the summer so we learned a lot in a few weeks.

We did not have a required text, so lectures are crucial. His class is graded on a point scale of 150 point, so ALL POINTS MATTER. He also has occasional attendance pop quizzes for extra credit. No surprises on the test, he discusses everything in class

You know Michael Scott from "The Office"? This guy literally has his personality except he's not funny. The tests aren't that hard (you get a study sheet to bring with you) and he doesn't take attendance, but he clearly doesn't think much of any of us and this class. Also, he's gonna pull a group project out of nowhere, beware of that.

I thought this class was extremely easy. The exams are not hard at all--25 questions per exam, and he lets you have a one page cheat sheet for each exam. There are homework assignments and some extra credit opportunities to help you maintain an A if you struggle on the exams. He also randomly takes attendance and gives free extra credit points.

Dr. Dixon is very knowledgeable, I took him for Meteorology, the course was harder than I expected, but Dr. Dixon is a funny guy that makes this class easy to enjoy. There are only a few grades so you have to keep up with that. He allows you to use a cheat sheet on all the tests and during lectures watch for a knock on the wall.

I had Dixon for 1312 and then 3335. He is full of experience in both, so he is the guy to take these classes from. Grading is a bit stressful since there are so few grades, making each one important. That being said, he lets you make a "cheat sheet" for every exam, and is known to curve up at the end of the semester. Most material is lecture based!

Dixon is a great professor as far as his lectures & presentations go, but his exams are pretty tough. He is very knowledgeable in what he's talking about, but can be hard to follow as there is so much info. He allows cheat sheet on exam, though, most of the class failed with it. READ YOUR TEXTBOOK. Can't pass class just with his PowerPoint slides.

Tests are extremely difficult, even with the cheat sheet he provides you. I would reccommend reading the chapters at least twice and looking over the notes for at least an hour a day. He's a good professor overall and a funny guy. Always answered questions and lectures were organized and easy to follow. He has immense knowledge of the subject.

Dixon is a good professor. Many people like to complain about him, but the ones who complain are usually the ones who miss class. He doesn't have an attendance policy, but if you miss class, you will miss out on what he wants you to know for the test. He's straight to the point. Class was cancelled a lot, and got out early almost every class. Easy!
