Comment:
Dr. Escobales is the nicest guy I have ever met. His lectures are confusing, is quizzes are decent. His exams are so easy, they are literally the same as the practice test, but with different numbers. Doesn't let you use a calculator when all other MAT111's can. Ridiculous cause final is standardized. Go to office hours if you can!

Escobales is a nice man but he is to smart to be able to dumb down the topics he is going over. Lots of graded homework every night. He makes the quizzes very hard. Avoid if at all possible!

Although he is extremely intelligent in the subject, he cannot convey lessons to a non-expert's level. Unclear in his lectures, quizzes a bit challenging, exams are a breeze, every night homework is a nuisance, grading is rough, and attendance is graded. Prepare to teach yourself Calculus III. I got an A- with a ton of hard work. Read the text!

Dr. Escobales is the nicest man, he is hilarious in class and will have you laughing the whole time. Even though his lessons are so hard to follow he is very brilliant. Homework every night beings to be a bit over extensive but overall this class should be an easy A. I highly suggest Dr. Escobales compared to the other Calculus teachers.

Escobales is a very sweet man, but he cannot teach. His writing is illegible and his teaching is not very clear. He gives homework every single night and takes attendance everyday. He gives practice tests which are exactly the same as the real ones and gives a bonus question at the end. I wouldn't recommend him though.

Homework every night, he's out of this world. Don't take him for upper level courses if you want to actually learn the material and not just pass e.g. take Weston for Real Analysis, not Esco

He is a really nice person and truly loves math. However, his teaching is not always clear. You get lots of difficult, graded homework every night. The tests are easy because he gives you practice tests that are the same format with different numbers. If you haven't had calculus before, he will probably make no sense to you.

He is a really nice guy, but a very difficult teacher. Alif isn't a great teacher for the class, but he is a much easier grader. Lots of homework, tests are fair, but esco grades attendance.

Dr. Escobales is very passionate about what he does. He helps out any students in need and is very resourceful. His homework assignments are excessively long but it's nothing an average student can't handle. His tests are given straight from the practice tests; study those and you'll be sure to ace the tests. He is a very considerate grader.

Very hard to follow. Usually goes off on tangents you dont care about. Always talked about his upper level class (did not matter what so ever). HW every night - Moderately difficult. Quizes- Very hard. Tests - Very easy (gives practice test and it is the same). There are about 7-9 lab assignments that are automatic 10/10 to make up for quizzes.

Very nice man but unfortunately niceness does not get you a good grade. He talks and goes through material so fast that you will be lost within minutes of the first class. Homework every single night and quizzes that are harder than his tests. Only good thing is the study guides he gives before the tests. Don't take if you don't have to.

Brilliant man, kind of strange. Lots of homework everynight, but not overly difficult. Test are super easy because he gives you a practice test to study. Quizzes, surprisingly, are probably the hardest but are easily made up by the homework grades. Take him.

Dr. Escobales is super nice. He can be hard to follow and sometimes goes off on tangents. But if you do the homework every night, the test will be really easy. This class can be an easy A if you try.

Not as bad as people make it out to be. His lectures are very hard to understand and he is all over the place. Go to class, get the homework and DO IT! This is how you learn. Teach yourself by doing homework. Test are easy, he gives you study guides with the exact same questions just different numbers substituted in. Do this, easy A-B

One of the nicest professors that I have ever had. Sometimes difficult to follow, but always willing to help and he is actually brilliant. He has corny jokes and really enjoys his work, and is also willing to take interest in the student's. Do the homework and you will do well, I recommend him.

He is one of kindest professors I've met but his teaching in this class atleast was all over the place and very confusing. There was so much material and not very much time and also the homework was a pain in the butt, sometimes the tutoring center couldn't even help.

Dr. Escobales is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Made concepts in Calc 1 and 2 much more understandable. The pretests are extremely helpful-tests are identical. Calc 3 is a hard class, so going to class is necessary. HW every night was painful, but very helpful for tests. If you do the hw and go to class, you should get an A.
