Statistics. Larsen was great. V. Funny. The material is challenging, but he'll help you along the way if you go to his weekly study period. The tests are open book (and quite challenging). Learned a lot, but statistics is pretty dull no matter what. He makes an effort to get to know you, though.

Larsen is so helpful and just a great teacher all around. There is hw due every week, but he will walk through every step if you are having trouble. He is probably one of the best math teachers that I have had at vanderbilt.

Dean Larsen's retired now, but he was probably the best professor at Vandy. The Vandy math department has truly lost their star. Otherwise, Dean Larsen's tests were all open book--challenging, but fair. Great teacher and really got the concepts across to his students.

Larsen is a true capitalist. In this class you use the book that he wrote. Very professional and ethical of him to profit off of his students. Your basic uninspired, run-of-the-mill, dry, boring, statistics professor. However, his statistics book makes great summer reading(I didn't sell mine back!).
