This professor was really boring, the whole class struggled to stay awake. He basically just reads the reading from the night prior outloud in a monotone voice. He was EXTREMELY particular about papers, was looking for very specific things, and didn't leave much room for creativity. He wanted you to be a robot. Very harsh grader.

Although he is very nice, he is very hard to hear and understand. He talks very quiet and monotone, most of the class cant even hear him. The class would have been easier if I knew what he was saying every day...but I still have no idea.

i had him for my Comp 1 class, which isn't the most exciting course, but he was pretty cool. he was very laidback. he has some odd nervous habits though. and he also works at the chance which is awesome!! he was a pretty easy graders though. i say take him if you are willing to put in a tiny bit of effort. no need to be an overachiever with him.

Analysis & Interpretation of Literature - Great teacher to take if you're an English Major. He grades tough and is looking for very specific things in papers, which has proven to be very helpful to me at least. If you're taking it for a GE or just aren't that interested in analysis, do not take this course. If you are, it will be quite helpful.

Rob is one of my favorite teachers of all time. I took him for both Comp 1 & requested him for 2.He is fair, extremely smart, and he has really chill interests. As for grading, if you don't put the effort in, he will grade you poorly. However, if you show you are interested, you will do great.I love him, and if you are a chill person you will too.

He's a horrible professor. I was in AP English for four years in high school, never got lower than an A-. He wouldn't give me more than a B+ on some of my best essays (one of which was edited by the editor of the NY Times). He thinks he knows it all and isn't at all elastic in his grading.

He is a nice man, but does not induce very much discussion, although he expects good discussion or suspects no one reads. He is a very tough grader, I am used to getting As on English papers and get Cs and Bs with him. Will try to help you if you see him outside of class, but doesn't seem to tell you what he really thinks.

Contrary to popular belief, he is not a hard grader, in fact I think he is one of the most fair graders I've ever had. He is very knowledgable and impassioned by what he does, and despite the slight monotone, everything he says is interesting. One of my favorite professors.

Very nice man. I took this course which is writing intensive..and dreaded how much work I would have to do. I was very pleased with the workload..which was nice and light! If you have a difficult time writing papers with a clear thesis, this class may not be for you, but he is not a hard grader.

Very intelligent. Knows his stuff and makes interesting connections. This class was boring, but only because it was a level 2 class. I wish I could have taken something more challenging with him because I feel like I would have learned a lot more.
