I personally think the class is pointless to go to but he takes roll. We had a whole class session on what we are doing in the course which was pointless. I wouldn't take him unless its a last resort. Quizzes are easy just have to read.

Comment:

Dr. Cheek is one of the most influential professors I've ever met at UL. He is a phenomenal teacher and he is willing to help you if you are willing to put in the work. It might not be a super easy A course but making an A is definitely possible if you work for it. Taking one of his classes will benefit you long after the semester is over.

Dr. Cheek is all over the place. It seems like he made up this course as it went along. You have to read 3 books as well as a ton of other stuff just to kind of get a feel for what his class is about. It's not terribly hard if you can navigate his mess. I wouldn't take unless you have to.

Online class allows you to work at your own pace. Dr. Cheek is available via email. Read two books and take quizzes. Read textbook and gives quizzes on every chapter. Assigns group project and papers. Midterm and final given. Get ready to READ, WRITE and take a lot of QUIZZES.

The majority of the time students spent on assignments was trying to figure out what exactly he wanted. He posts several sets of unorganized, contradictory instructions. It is clear that he thinks very highly of himself and gets very defensive if you ask questions about the material or your grade. After my 7 years of school, he's been the worst.

He goes on and on about how smart and knowledgeable he is and how you better not slack off, yet the second you ask him a question he berates you and makes you feel like you should never participate. Never gets to the point and is honestly not a good teacher.

TERRIBLE, writes essays to answer simple questions and acts like a snooty academic about everything instead of actually giving you guidance... once made fun of a student about a question, posted it to moodle and went on tangent about this being senior level mgmt class... guess they teach telepathy in senior mgmt courses

Dr. Cheek is a great professor and his class is not that hard if you keep up with it. That being said, he can seriously lack clarity on assignments at times. go to his office and ask and it'll clear things up nicely, he can ramble on emails sometimes

I took MGMT 333 & 340 w/ Dr. Cheek. I enjoyed both, and got a lot of useful info. He was very helpful, available & quick to respond. His classes are easy if you are not lazy (read the book & do homework). If you're the type that doesn't do the work, & comes whining at the end of the semester for points to pass; find another class. I recommend him!

Best professor i've had at UL so far! For being an online class, it was pretty easy. There's lots of assignments and a quiz for each chapter but the work isn't that hard. His midterm/final are 240 questions but its the EXACT SAME questions from the quizzes!!! He's more than willing to help you on projects just go to his office! Easy A TAKE HIM!

I took the class online, but I do recommend you take the class with atleast one person you know. You have to read and understand the chapter before each quiz due to only having 5 minutes for 10 questions (but you do get 2 tries). Test are basically the all the quizzes put together. I'd recommend this class

I took it online. If you want an A then you MUST read the chapter before you take the quizzes because you'll only get 5 minutes for 10 questions and only 2 attempts. If something goes wrong with Moodle, email him!! He's a nice guy and cares about people. Not a "difficult" class but you must take it seriously.

Avoid this teacher. Book is interesting to read but he makes the class overly dramatic and very hard. He is very rude and does not like to answer questions. He makes you feel stupid. I hope they will hire somebody else for this class.

The class is extremly easy but Dr. Cheek is ridiculous, and makes the class overly dramatic. Online class, easy enough but the words friendly, helpful, and personable are not words to describe this man. There is a 2 paragraph description in his syllabus about "email protocol", I mean really? extremly easy class, but I recommend staying clear of him

Great teacher!! If you go to class you pass, if not he will fire you! He makes you work for your grade and there is nothing wrong with that. He weeds out the weak and the strong do survive.
