Professor Young is not an "easy" professor but also not the worst. Very dry and not very personable but does seem to enjoy discussions if she knows you're trying. Expects a certain level of content. I took the online class and required a case study and chapter per week but they were really interesting, that's the part I enjoyed. Exams hard.

Comment:

Worst online class I've ever taken. She posts nothing but negative feedback, if you hear from her at all. Everyone that gets feedback on the discussion posts gets the same exact post from her, standard copy and paste, and if you say you don't understand, she has no help for you at all, just tells you to redo it. You're on your own.

Comes off rude, but she's just critical because she wants her students to succeed. I got an A in her classes because I read the material and submitted assignments on time. The exams are open book, but don't expect to pass if you don't read. I was also taking 21 credits & working FT when I had her classes so time is no excuse.

I took the online course and yes she gives a lot of work but if you print the syllabus, read the work given you will do fine. Remember her tests are open book. If you are looking for an A where you do no work do not take her but if you are ready to actually do your homework you will do fine.

Lots of reading not just textbook but Supreme Court Opinions some over 100 pages long.She dishes out blunt, negative feedback. No encouragement! No idea what your grade is on extensive discussion postings. You are on your own with this online class. Good Luck!

I like this teacher but she was tough. Took her class in class. She is very knowledgeable and smart but her test are very tough. So make sure you read chapters and do HW. Just proof to her you can write an ACT essay, show up, participate and do HW Her test are open book but tough, so READ. Good luck!

She is a very difficult professor to deal and communicate with and her business law 1 online which I took is very difficult. Tell me how you weight your grades like this: 30% online posts, 30% midterm and 40% final exam? So unfair and hard to communicate w/ & sometimes sounds arrogant/cocky. Avoid her online at all costs unless absolutely necessary

I do not recommend taking this teacher if you actually have A LIFE. I took business law 1 online with her and her cases are extremely long and time consuming, she gives too much work and is impossible to communicate with her. She doesnt have the good professor vibe at all, like she doesnt like teaching or she has a bad attitude. Whats up with her??

I took her online Business Law class. Two exams are worth 70% of the grade. The discussions, which are extremely time consuming, are only worth 30%. She doesn't give any input or knowledge into the subject. Doesn't communicate well with students and has no passion for teaching. I do not recommend taking a course with her.

I was hesitant to take her class b/c of the comments here but had too. I received a B+ in her class the exams are very difficult. You have to actually read each week post a discussion post each week and know what's going on its not alot to ask i think. Her grading is fair and just how explained. Overall I think her class was a good one!!!

The online class for Busi. Law is almost impossible. The tests are ridiculously hard and very difficult to complete within the specified time limit. The class itself is self-taught through the textbook, and the "discussions" online are simply answering questions that the prof. asks. I highly recommend that you take this class in person.
