My rating is long overdue. If there is one thing I have to say is that Mrs. Dahlberg is a teacher that is insanely thorough in the way she carries herself and grade. If you want an A, you have to be willing to work for it. She heavily critiques your writing, but for the better. One thing for sure is my writing improved because of her and yours will

She is a great professor, but if you don't read don't bother coming to class. You will read about 7 books and a few blackboard posts, all very good, and you will talk about them in detail every single day. You have four quizzes that are basically essays (she grades 3), four small 4 page papers (she grades 2), and one 10 page paper (she grades hard)

This class was not fun - but it was an easy A. You MUST show up to class - not only does she count attendance as 20% of your grade, but all the test questions come from her lectures. You don't really have to do the readings. Just pay attention to class discussions and you can score an A. DO THE EXPLORATORY ESSAYS EARLY IN THE SEMESTER.

Dahlberg is awesome!!! She opens up the whole world in her lectures and the class gets to help come to the ideas. It's so much fun and you learn a lot. She's a tough grader but her feedback makes you better. You'll be on a new level at the end of her semester. She's amazing.

be prepared to read every week/class day. take notes and study key words. her test are not multiple choice and she has a part in the test only for definitions where you fill in the blank. so studying is a key to pass! get a study buddy! overall good teacher. doesn't tolerate slackers!

Dr. D is awesome! Even english majors like myself loved her and material she uses. Fun class! I got a B only because I didnt turn in one essay in order to catch up with hw from other class. Easy A class just attend lectures, take book, and take notes. She knows her stuff! You'll take the material you learn in class with you even after class ends

She expects that you're there to learn not just coast, so you'll have to earn your grade by showing up and putting in the work, but it's only fair because you can tell that she has, too. Expect to be challenged to think critically and articulate your thoughts orally and in writing. In return, you'll learn so much about how to read lit. and love it.

I'm taking her summer course right now and while she is no walk in the park I would recomend her because she actually teaches, you learn alot and if you participate and do as your told you should pass with no less than a B. You have weekly quizes over the readings, genres ect but she writes everything on the board so just go to class and take notes

Attendance wasnt really mandatory. Must have book. Must speak in every class which is highly annoying. had to act even though it wasn't acting class. Papers are graded mildy strict. Read h/w and you will be fine. She is slightly rude. Do what you're supposta and you'll pass. Specially turn in things on time it worked out for me with a B!

To me, her class was easy. All you have to do is read the information and you'll exceed. However, she was VERY RUDE and for some reason could not understand why anyone would have a different opinion from hers. I LOVE English and everything about it, but it got to the point where i HATE going to her class. Take this class if you like rude teachers!!
