He cannot properly teach, all he does is state the information in front of a silent classroom full of students watching Netflix on their laptops. Requires you to buy the textbook but doesn't ever ask you to work from it or reference it. Giant pushover, no personality.

I had Lewis for MAT140 and it was a piece of cake. I rarely came to class, did the homework online, and passed the tests. He genuinely cares about your success but is not the best teacher. If you're looking for an easy class to pass, this is the one.

I loved Dr. Lewis. The comments are right, though. If you want to ask a question, he's not the best at articulating back the answer/explaining it well. Also, he gives out a lot of My Math Lab homework, but he's really good with EC. Attendance is randomly taken once a week, & he is shy. If you do get to know him, he's not as bad as you'd think(:

Dr. Lewis definitely knows the content, just can't articulate it well. He isn't the best public speaker and doesn't look up a lot so don't raise your hand because he won't see it. If you have difficulty understanding and learning material on your own, don't take him. I didn't have much trouble but others had large amounts of trouble understanding.

He is good person but he is horrible at actually teaching. When you ask him a question he either listens to it and will restate what he just did as he did not even listen to what you just asked or he will just answer your question that is completely irrelevant to what you are asking and you must restate your question a few times before he gets you.

Awful, awful teacher. I would not recommend him to anyone unless you already know how to do the work. Seems like it would be an easy class if he was able to actually teach anything at all. He just does the problem really fast on the board and when you as him what he's doing he is terrible at explaining it. How he is still employed blows my mind.

Dr. Lewis can not write to save his life. Every time I would ask a question he would never completely answer it. His test are easy if you try to pay attention and can decipher his handwriting. I would not recommend anyone taking his class unless you are good at teaching yourself the material.

Mr. Lewis is a nice guy and he seems to care about our grades. But at the same time, he is pretty awkward,has atrocious handwriting,and also has problems explaining things in an alternative way when someone doesn't understand. He covers things in class very fast and I often was struggling to keep up during class.

He's a good guy and he cares about your grade. He gives a little bit extra time on the tests if there's not another class waiting. I consider that caring because that's his time he's giving up. And the grading was fair. However he cannot teach so all of that doesn't really matter much.

He is not good with talking to people. When we were going over some information, I asked if there was a trick that we could do and he had never heard of that trick. and he acted as if I had startled him. He only held conversations with the guys that acted like him and sat in the front of class. So dont take him if you want to learn about math.

This guy has no idea what he is talking about and I agree with comments below he is WAY to shy to be a teacher. He spent the class staring at the wall while writing on his little computer. The only cool thing about the whole class was his computer. I am really good in math and he made it impossible for me to get a B or A. I got a C teaching myself.
