Hillman is rude, mean ,a bully, and totally insensitive. The woman is nuts. She is in a great mood one sec then pissed off the next. She's anal and condescending to students. As others mentioned shes difficult to work w, sk k never askef for help for fear of her wrath. She needs to retire ASAP

Dr. Hileman is known among her students and colleagues for her mood swings. It seems like she harbors a mild contempt for most of her students, even the ones who she gives good grades. Even after having been her student for a year, I still don't understand her, and don't know how to make her happy with my work.

What kind of experience you have with Hileman depends entirely on what mood she is in that day. She can be very helpful when in a good mood, and she tends to be especially positive in her online courses. However, if she is in "one of her moods," which her department knows all too well, she can be quite rude and exhibit a contempt for her students.

Okay, it's literature. We're not curing cancer. The next Shakespeare is not in the class. Absolutely obscene ammount of work for a bs class. Nice lady, but needs a sense of perspectivve. Also, not real good on feedback after constant late night work on her never ending assignments.

She knows her material. Very, very, very well. This can be both good and bad, depending on whether or not YOU do. I'd reccomend her classes, but only if you're fine with a workload outpacing what you usually experience at Slow Ross.

Very good professor but don't expect to slack off. Very helpful when it comes to getting information on what needs to be done on assignments. She also is willing to work with you if you have a hard time doing your work. Overall a great professor.

She is a great teacher and I really enjoyed her class. English Literature can be difficult and boreing but she really made it interesting and bent over back wards to help her students. One of the best in my book.
