This class was the best experience I have ever had with a teacher. He is the smartest professor that I have ever had the honor to learn from. I wish I could take his classes 100 more times. In fact, he should moved on from just physics and teach all of my classes. This guy is the very best there is. You will not be disappointed when you choose him.

prof. glashow is great, he has an adorable sense of humor and goes off on enormous tangents that make the class very interesting. he is brilliant, so he sometimes gets carried away and goes into very complicated physics. you learn a lot of info in his class, though he's not very heavy of hw and tests. definitely one of the best classes at bu.

You wont learn anything.. his lectures are pretty useless. If you dont have any physics knowledge prior to the class, you'll have trouble. He is a genius and a nice man. It's hard for him to explain things to "normal people". Don't buy the textbook. its useless. take this to fulfill a requirement. not for fun.

You won't learn anything useful, but with the right attitude the semester is bound to be entertaining. Go to his office hours and you may be one the lucky few to catch him smoking a cigar with the window closed because, well, he's Sheldon Glashow and he can do what he wants. His grading and whimsically unprofessional behavior makes this class good

Great lectures, goes off on a lot of tangents, has realy broad knowledge. Probably best for people who have a lot of interest in science, he gets ahead of himself in explanations sometimes. I wish he taught more classes so i could take them

Glashow is obviously a smart guy, but he should NOT be teaching entry-level physics classes. He can be interesting, but he has no way of explaining concepts at a level an average student could understand. The assignments don't correlate to anything that goes on in class. The final had complex math that he'd never explained and no beginner could do.

TAKE THIS CLASS! One of the most interesting classes BU has to offer and from one of its best professors. He is very knowledgeable on the subject. The class is quite easy but very rewarding. I will definitely remember this class after BU.

I disagree with these posters. The class was a piece of cake, and the professor was interested in the subject and intriguing. He is brilliant and knowledgeable. Hes a great man; take the class just to meet him.

Do not take a class with Glashow unless you have a substantial background in the sciences, mainly chemistry and physics! If you do have a solid background, his stories and perspectives are amusing, insightful, and unique. He is obviously a brilliant man, yet his teaching abilities are not as far-reaching.

Never take his class unless you are obsessed with physics and you have sufficient background in phsyics related fields. He starts giving confusing lectures as if we are all physics major. He doesnt even bother explaining basic principles before going into details.I have no damn clue why the hell he is teaching.

Worst prof I have ever had. Unfriendly- obviously a gnius, but that does not mean you should teach. He is somewhat funny but tests are random. For ppl who don't know much about science, delay the class as long as possible so it doesnt keep your gpa down

If you have no background in sciences, this class is something you have to get through rather than an opportunity to learn. After his first lecture, its all downhill. Really boring class, and extremely unhelpful man.

He is extremely intelligent but does not know how to teach. Read the book because in class he makes many errorw. Know quotes and math for exams. If you come to class with a strong chemistry, physics, and math background you will succeed!

i was so excited to be taught by a nobel prize winner in physics, however his lectures are dull and his explanations are often scattered and unclear. he is quirky and funny. obviously brilliant, but won't impart much knowledge to you.

Yes, you'll fall asleep sometimes, but stories about his Sci friends and his dinner with kings are worth it. His words are not thrilling, but they are clear.
