I took Dr. Mayo's Ethics class, I do have to say that his lectures were very boring. But his class is very easy. His exams are essays and he tells you beforehand what is going to be on it. That requires a lot memorization. Easy grader, I got an A in his class.

Comment:

This is a CORE class called 20th Century America. Oh Dr. Mayo. What can I say? He is a very kind and gentle human being. Brutally intelligent and goofy sense of humor. However, my only critique is that he is so excited about teaching, he tends to lose focus of subject matter during lecture. Otherwise, he's great. Commutes from NYC to teach here.

His class was pretty interesting!! He has an interesting sense of humor... Also, the fact that all of his tests are all essays (tells you essay topics beforehand) makes them pretty easy, if that's what you prefer. I would def take him again!

Professor Mayo is a very intelligent person. He enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge. He has a very kind manner. He will take you from Aristotle and Plato to Marx, Stalin and beyond and help you to realize even more than ever how fortunate we are to live in this great country of ours. He is a very good role model for the students.

BORING!!!! HE PUTS YOU TO SLEEP AND ITS UNBEARABLE. I wanted to be shot and just end it. He is more history then philosophy and his tests are so annoying. I would never take a class with him. He is a nice guy though anyway.

Wow, I was interested in the topic befor taking this class and this teacher killed the topic for me. I was not only bored to tears but wanted someone to shot me and put me out of my misery! He is the hardest teacher and he is not willing to help you. I found him to be very cold and not is the type who doesnt care about students.
