Great teacher with alot of knowledge about the subject. You basically have all your work given to you at the beginning of the semester and finish it at your own pace. Keeps the class interesting by getting off topic alot.

Easy if you do the work. People who think you don't write for history classes are retarded! There is a lot of reading and a lot of writing, but he's an easy grader. I don't usually put much effort into the writings and I get Bs every time. He's a brilliant prof and knows what he's talking about. Ask him anything about hist220, he knows the answer.

Zdatny was sooooo much fun. Some days he was the most hilarious person I have ever encountered. I absolutely loved his class. You are responsible for attendance, and you are responsible for your homework, but he is pretty lenient and such a great guy. I loved him!

Class was very interesting but you had to be there early to take a quiz every class period. Reading is very important in this class but it's important to participate in recitation. Tests are essays that he gives you ahead of time...it's not bad at all.

The readings rarely have anything to do with the actual lectures, but there is a quiz on every one, which basically how you get your grade. Two novels (Don't waste your time) and listening to him ramble on about the microphone for at least 15 min. a day. Boring, but an easy A if you read.

Zdatny is the most unprofessional professor that I've had. Cussing is fine... but using the F word is very uncalled for. If I wanted to write lots of papers, I'd take an english class. I would not take a History class to learn how to write book reviews. Don't take him.

Dr. Z is the man. He does not take any crap or sniveling -maybe why others here did not care for him. His sense of humor is odd, but he was funny. He will be helpful if you are looking for help and not just he answers. If you are lazy, then do not take him.

Lol I don't see how you people think this man is smart. When I had him he was an idiot who rambled on about things that never helped you in anything.The only thing you have to do is read the book in his class, his lectures are pointless. My TA helped me more then he ever did and my TA did nothing

Great Professor. Hillarious and informative. Really knows his subject matter. May have a lot of reading to do, but assignments were pretty open and fair, and there were not any tests in the class.
