I took Grubbs Music of The Beatles class and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! If you have a love for The Beatles, then I highly recommend that you take this class. You will not be disappointed. Mr. Grubb is a very cool dude and he is very passionate about what he teaches. You will learn so much from this class. I would definitely take it again if I could!

Definitely the best class Ive ever taken. Really wish this class was 2 semesters long. I learned so much. I really appreciate his passion for The Beatles. Definitely recommend taking this class.

Comment:

Music of the Beatles was really fun, and I didn't know much to begin with. Easy A class. It's only available in Spring, but highly recommend! If you need a class to raise your GPA take this! There's an online version of the book for free. You HAVE to be in class the whole time. He gives the questions for the next quiz at the end of each class. :)

Comment:

A refreshing class to take (even if you aren't a Beatles fan). If you do the reading, you should be set for the weekly quizzes. A typical day starts off with a quiz, listening to the music, and then watching documentaries/interviews. I wish there were group activities/projects. Mr. Grubb is a very well-informed and passionate professor.

Steve is an incredibly passionate instructor. Although he's very patient and understanding, I'd recommend getting your piece(s) down before class. He's extremely hilarious. If you've been getting off-course, he will nudge you in the right direction. Make sure you bring your required materials to class. Don't take advantage of his sweet nature.

I took Steven Grubb's class Music of The Beatles it was such a great class. If you have the chance to take this class you should. You learn about a Rock band that changed the world. You will need to attend class to pass this class as he gives a quiz at the start of class. but they are not hard quizzes fairly easy. you will need the text book.

Prof. Grubb is a real gem. His love for music is easily seen. I have taken two classes with him, music 121 and music 112(Beatles). Both easy, but you have to do the work he assigns. For 121 you have to put in the effort to learn. It's that simple. He helpful if you are having trouble. For 112 you must read the text, but it's interesting information

Steve! This guy is so enthusiastic when it comes to music! DO NOT TAKE CLASS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN OPEN MIND! he makes lectures relatable and makes you think about modern music more in depth. Helps you realize the role music in the 15th century still plays in today's music! Great guy, loves his job, and is a rare Passionate teacher!

Enjoyed the Beatles Music class so much! Professor Grubb is amazing and passionate about this class. He really knows his material and does an exceptional job at teaching it. Would recommend him anytime. You definitely need the book. It's the only way to pass the class. Book is reasonably priced

Professor Grubb is a GREAT piano teacher! I took him for beginner's piano and I've learned how to play at an intermediate level. He will do one-on-one practice with you if you need help. Buy the book new if you can, its cheap! Bring in headphones and a piano jack that you can get for $5 at a local music shop. Show up and practice! Easy A!

Professor Grubb is one of the nicest professors at MJC. He has a big heart and cares for his students. Class is a littl tough so study for every quiz and never leave early. I had something horrible happen to me on the day of the final, and he took the final out completely. Not many like him. Great professor, with a big heart.

I loved Professor Grubb's piano class so much that I decided to take his Beatles class. Oh my God, it was AMAZING!!! I loved it!!! I am now practically obsessed with the Beatles, and before this class, I didn't even like them!!! Great class, take it if you can!!! Only offered in the spring!

Before this class, I had ALWAYS wanted to learn to play some sort of instrument. I have always loved music! I never thought I'd be able to learn THIS much from someone in one semester! (Took it last semester.) I am sad he doesn't teach 122!!! Professor Grubb is amazing! He knows his stuff!!!

Great professor. Very laid back class, he works with you at your own pace, the book is cheap $20 & you use it everyday. I would recommend bringing your own headphones or earphones and buying the jack to go into the piano so you don't use the "community" headphones. By the end of the class you will know how to read music & play the piano :)
