You would assume she's a tough grader through her attitude towards students, but she secretly cares and loves giving As, especially if students show some level of interest in the topics being discussed. Her opinions match her age, so be prepared to hear some remarks you may disagree with. She has a nervous laughter while discussing serious topics

I like her a lot but I can also see why people think she is rude. If you read the books and write the papers that she assigns, then you will get a good grade. Books are also interesting...

Really kind, funny lady. She is super smart and very very opinionated, so if she doesn't agree with your paper you may find her kind of frustrating. If you want to pass the class with ease, be sure to research her writing and beliefs beforehand. Overall, she's one of my favorite professors I've had.

The rudest and most disrespectful Professor I have ever taken at Pace. She is nasty to her students and embarrasses them in front of the entire class. Her criticism on your work is anything but constructive. She puts her students down as writers. She never keeps us close to 3 hours but even being in the same room with her for an hour is rough.

The rudest professor I have ever had. She has very set ideas about everything, and if you have other opinions, she's going to belittle you. Passed out papers in front of everyone and would loudly announce that so and so 'needs to learn grammar' or 'try harder.' Only plus was that she was an easy grader.

Susan Brownmiller is a feminist pioneer! If you can take a class with her, you absolutely should. One of the rare gems in the sea of mediocre professors at Pace - very interesting, clear, learned a ton. Wish that I could take her again!

Pretty easy class. It's more about class discussions that really highlight "women's studies" and they're pretty interesting topics, so the class isn't boring. 2 papers, 2 oral reports (from the paper) and volunteer assignment and you're good!

She is amazing. She may be very opinioned but that's what makes the class so interesting! She's fun and has a great sense of humor. Don't come late though. Just do the essays& even if you screw up, as long as you show her you tried your best, she'll give you a good grade!

She is amazing! really spiced up the class! She's experienced and knowledgeable. You really have to enjoy the class, writing and reading. She makes the subject at hand more interesting simply with her stories and personality. Excellent professor. Looks for specifics in writing styles but overall easy. Come to class and keep up with reading. Take he
