I love her! She is so sweet and caring. She genuinely will do anything for her students. She's brilliant, so she helped me with work outside of her class too. Her class isn't super difficult, but it's not a blow off class. 10/10 would recommend. She's very chill, so it's up to you to do your work.

It's not a bad class because there's a lot of field trips that make it seem fun, but she is a ridiculously hard grader. You have the chance to redo your papers but she won't even give you a grade on the first one if she doesn't like it. There's also not many grades and no extra credit. Just be wary that it's a lot to handle.

Easy class but she grades very tough. Poor organization of class. She gave us 10 in class assignments but all the examples she gave for these assignments were bad. Was unclear as to what she wanted. I gave her one of my papers to proofread and she gave me minor changes and then I got a 70 on the assignment, that upset me. Very nice lady though.

Sweet, kind, older lady. That being said, don't take advantage of her. There are no tests, just some grammar quizzes every 2 weeks that don't count for much in the end. You have 10 main assignments throughout the semester, so there is really no homework if you do the assignments in classtime.

This class wasn't awful. I had it twice a week at 8 am and that totally made the struggle real. She understood we were tired and never really hassled anyone. She is a very kind lady. Reading assignment almost ever class and about 6 essays the whole semester. Over all she was helpful and tried to make it interesting.

She should not be teaching class. She would tell us different things all the time. Very confusing class. Quizzes in the beginning of class mostly everyday but easy if you study. Worst class I have taken. She grades really hard but you are able to rewrite ONLY 2 of your papers.

Professor Hanson grades your papers pretty hard, but she gives you the opportunity to revise and return each assignment. She pretty much corrects every error for you, so you can simply retype it for a better grade. She is always there to help you if you need clarification. The daily grades are easy, too.

Hanson should not be teaching english. she is not helpful at all and you do useless activities in class. she takes over a month to grade a paper. she lets you re correct it but you will wait another month to get it back. the only good thing is that she lets you out early for class. i didnt know any of my grades in the class until the last week

Hanson gives guidlines on papers but shes not very helpful at all. makes you buy some online grammer thing. you have to make some brochure and a 3+ pg proposal! just alot of extra work with no true direction. i guess you have to be good at writing. shes nice though.

DONT take her if English is not your major! Every day readings due-you have to turn in 3 questions about them for daily grade. She always took forever to give our papers back-over a month. You can rewrite them though and get a better grade. Superboring class, seriously don't take her unless you have no choice.

My favorite class ever. All we do is talk about nature and have discussions and go on field trips. I didn't even read the books but I got an A. The three papers were long and stressful but oh well, it is an honors course. I love her and I love this class, I would take it again if I could.

Hanson is not very helpful, even when asked directly for assistance. There is a new assignment due almost every week, so if you keep on top of those, you'll do fine. Plan on teaching yourself if you take her, because she isn't much use other than to critique your work.

I really do like her, but as I rated her, I realized she really is pretty unclear and useless when you ask for help. She grades extremely hard and allows revisions, problem is she never returns ANYTHING. So get used to being frustrated. Also told us what was going to be on the final with about two days notice.

She is very nice and really cares about her students (when my boyfriend was hospitalized she emailed me several times just to check on us) She grades a little hard, but tells you everything you need to fix and then allows you to redo the assignments for full credit. Easy class, but you still learn a lot. Very helpful.

She grades hard but edits your assignments and let's you redo them for way better grades. Hardly no tests, and the final exam is only worth 5% of the grade. Easy B, A if you do well on your assignments the first time. BTW: ENG 3304 is a computer class where you type memos and make brochures.

She was pretty boring. Made us read lots and lots of environmental and political material. I had her at 8am and it was torture getting up. If you write good essays and do all your homework you'll do fine. She likes class participation and hippies. Talk to her about "going green" or something and I'm sure she'll love you.

I really disliked this professor. She was not at all helpful, she didn't teach anything. She is never caught up with her grading. Eventhough she allows revisions to your assignments, she NEVER returns them so that you can see how you are doing. I doubt she graded everything. Unless you make friends with her there is no point taking her.
