Comment:

I really liked Prof. Kandal in general. No one is perfect. He may ramble on a bit, but he just gets excited and wants to share it with the class. At times I got bored but I appreciated his teachings. I went to class everyday and took notes and got an A. Other people skipped all the time and got As or Bs. Take him, its pretty kick back.

I was forced to take his class. He went of topic, so I learned nothing. This last quarter, I made sure not to take him again, I took Dr. Fried. I actually learned something in Dr. Fried's class. In Dr. Kandel's class - I learned how he likes Law and Order, but it was rare for him to actually explain Parsons or Wallerstien.

Horrible teacher! I listen to radio every class. Thankfully he graded on a curve or the whole class would of failed. he wanted us to by like 6 books which i never read cuz he didnt give us chapters to read. He is the sharpest Soc prof I've taken here. He actually applies the theories into current affairs which I think is hard for some students to understand. Yes, he is monotone, but please be patient as its due to age. He's a gem.

Sadly, the worst comments about Terry are true. His thoughts are jumbled and he often gets off track very easily. Kinda speaks in a monotone voice that gets you sleepy after a while. He lectured the ENTIRE class time every class so be prepared. Don't take him if you don't have to.

Wow, this guy is dull. He has socks older than most of his students. Kinda fun to watch him lose his temper, which is often. I actually fell asleep once in class, woke up snoring. He didn't even notice.

This class was a total waste of my time. Although I enjoyed hearing him get fired up on many subjects, I could have passed this class by writing a paper and skipping every other day of class (whihc many students eventually did). A heck of a nice guy, but very unorganized.
