Tim Edwards, was one of my favorite professor for the semester. I enjoyed learning in his class and he is Hilarious. There was never a dull lecture nor a dull moment. He does gives plenty of quizzes but these help you find the area that needs improvement on. I won't mind having him again as a teacher :D

The class material is basic, but the knowledge the teachers provides is complex and interesting. There is no reason why anyone, especially in college, should fail this course. It's an easy A and more importantly - you learn stuff that is actually entertaining. It is the easiest class I've taken all semester and I didn't dread going. Take it!

The man is brilliant. He produces the necessary material very thoroughly and clearly; however, the material is 90% related to ethnicity. If you are racially sensitive this is not the class for you.

This class starts out pretty slow. By the 2nd week, I'd have rather jumped out a window! But, it picks up after awhile; fun discussion and interesting material (esp. if you're interested in media). Plus, its pretty easy. Give it time and it'll get better.

He is my favorite teacher in the department! He loves to make you write papers about the handouts he gives but he grades pretty easy. At the beginning of the course he will let you know the questions he wants answer in the papers you write and if you follow that you'll get a good grade. Had 2 test and a final, easy! Lots of bonus questions!

Cool teacher, three test with plenty of bonus. Take good notes and study them and you'll go great. Also 4 papers, he calls them projects. But they're pretty simple.

Pretty easy, seems bored with teaching.. Offers helpful information and he's pretty laid back. Easy to talk to or ask questions. Overall, pretty good professor and knows his stuff. Can be a hard grader.

edwards in an excellent teacher if you are willing to learn. lots of information to take in, but the class is an easy A IF you show up. if you dont, its so easy to fall behind. LOTS of writing, but again easy. tests are easy, only 2 a semester, but tons of assignments. only had homework 2 times though. id take him again!

Dr. Edwards is a good professor. I found his lectures to be clear and concise. His assignments and exams were NO surprise, but VERY prepared for. IF YOU SHOW UP TO CLASS! The only people I heard complain were those who showed up twice a month.

Very polite professor. He treated everyone with respect, and I have no complaints. The class was very easy and low-stress. Attendance was never taken. Most of what we learned was unbiased and factual. Recorded VHS's were viewed quite regularly. Also, we didn't even have to buy a textbook for this class (Hip-Hop Culture and the Media).

He encourages discussion and input and cares about his students. He is a good teacher and knows his stuff. There were several videos but this class was far from boring. Topics often controversial but helped liven up the discussion and differing opinions were encouraged. Must have an open mind and participate or won't like. Very accessible teacher.

Very boring class, his assignments are pointless, and his tests are not easy. He does not give study guides, which makes it that much more difficult. He shows things he records off tv at least once a week. The movies that he shows are even worse. Do not take him for mass media and society.

I don't like to say cruel things, but Dr. Edwards is one of the tackiest teachers I've ever had. He does not prepare us in adequite time for different assignments. Because of this, I barely made a B in that class. And I dropped Journalism as my minor.

Tim is very intellegent, but his class was a bit of a let down. He is skilled in leading the class on interesting open-ended lectures, but far too often relied on plain lecture to hit the answers of multiple-choice questions. He really failed at capitalizing on the subject matter at hand. Not a bad class, but don't go out of your way to take it.
