This guy is far too old, angry, and LOUD to be teaching. Do not take Winter courses. Taking 109, and I need to teach myself basically everything because he is incapable of explaining in a coherent manner.

100% would not recommend. There's about 6 people in my class when it started at full. He assigns a ton of homework that does not get graded. He cares more about your attendance in the class than if you are actually learning the material. His tests are harder than you can imagine, not to mention he teaches new lessons the day of the test. Skip him.

Gives an absurd amount of homework daily and only teaches part of the chapters and expects you to teach the rest to yourself at home. Also teaches entirely new lessons the same day before giving quizzes. Goes over work in class but gives the same work at the hardest difficulty in exams. Not helpful at all when you have a question.

Smart professor, knows math very well but tests are about 10000x harder than the material gone over in class and do not correlate at all to what he does in class. The examples he tells you to study are way easier.

He is definitely, not easy. He may come of as mean at first, but if you actually talk to him he is really nice and helpful. His tests are hard, since he loves math and can think of clever questions instead of questions straight from the textbook. But he does give a lot of hints on what is on the test during his class- so listen carefully.

Professor is extremely professional and courteous. Doing the homework is paramount, this subject can be hard for some students. The difficulty of the material is independent from the teacher. He is extremely helpful and desires his students to learn the subject matter. Normally, bad students give bad reviews. He is truly worthy of praise!

He may be sarcastic, rude, and sometimes mean, but he does a great job teaching and actually cares. Pay attention in class and take good notes or expect a poor grade. The show up to class once a week at most and never do any work type should avoid unless you know the material. Less than 40% of Timchek's problem sets are textbook based so beware!

Worst math professor I have ever had at NCC. If you have him, drop his class and get a different professor cause you'll end up dropping it before the semester ends anyway. He doesn't explain this indepth and detail. Horrible professor.

He definitely expects his class to fail and he makes a point out of it by mentioning the words "you'll fail" after an explanation of what will happen when you forget something. He knows his stuff but he is tough to understand. His tests are really hard but as long as you do the homework, you might pass.

He can be strict, but it is math,2+2=4, not 3 or 5. All material is covered and he will answer any questions asked, beyond that its your responsibility as an adult in college to do the work and develop understanding of the material. No free rides, but he is doing students a favor by properly preparing them for reality. You get the grade you earn

Took his distance education course, it was very difficult to learn on my own so I found myself in Prof. Timchek's office every Monday for office hours. He was extremely helpful, I worked hard and got a decent grade. Tests were difficult (one midterm + one final) and there is no fudge factor. You get the grade you earn.

There arent words to describe how hard this class is... starts out well enough... and then all of a sudden your grades are falling off a cliff... its some pretty bad stuff... if you like ridiculous challenges... go for it... if you have any sense or common sense or dignity... maybe not such a good choice...
