By far the worst professor I've ever had. He speeds through lectures and class. He never in his office during his office hours.He is not very approachable or helpful when you ask for assistant.The class itself can be changeling at times but overall it's not super difficult.

Loved this class! Very fun and interesting, with a couple wine and beer tastings. Lots of notes to take. Tests are made of the classes questions and quite easy if you do the 25+ page study guide. Text book is only needed to fill out the study guide. Attendance required.

"Best professor ever....I have been taking him for several semesters and always got As I don't understand why people complain him if he is a good professor for cost u can use all your formulas, there is no way you can fail this class...all you have to do is do hw, do your sheet chat and you will get an easy A....

I have had him for several classes. All these bad reviews made me mad. He's a great guy! He tries to make his classes interesting. He tries to teach you all you need to know. He is very knowledgeable, & gives plenty of opportunities for good grades. You can even talk to him about your tests & he bumps your grade. Do your work & you are fine!

Terrible professor. Classes are boring and useless but still mandatory. He has trouble answering questions and giving you a real answer. His tests are multiple choice in all but one class but they are still difficult to get a good grade on. Homework takes forever and there is an assignment EVERY CLASS!! Do not take him if you can avoid it!

Way too much work for a three credit class. Assignments difficult to understand. Syllabus is a book. Extra community service on top of required class attendance. Two large scale book projects, and you get to organize a fundraiser for selected charities. Oh, and 10 letters to Congress from different people you know. Just don't. It's not worth it.

This prof stumbles with his words alot. He might know what he is teaching but the way he present it really makes the students frustrated and he just assumed all of us understood and just moved along. Because i didnt understand what he is teaching, i just give up on his subject. Avoid him if you can!!

Dr. VanDyke is a really nice guy! He stumbles over his words sometimes, but he really does know a lot. I feel bad that a lot of people make fun of him, because he would really do anything to help his students. I def. recommend taking him. Go to class, do homework, the tests are soooo easy (you make you own questions!) and youll do well!!!

Dr. Van**** inspired us all to do great things. He wants his students to be informed and wants then to care enough to help others. At times he may have been a bit scattered, but that's because he has so much to share and so many lessons for us to learn. Take his class! It's worth it!
