SPECTRA PROGRAM On the first day of class, Frazier told us she seldomly gives As on first papers because she doesnt want students to think they have no room for improvement. Mentioned how she wanted to cry while reading our papers, which is an extremely hard concept to achieve. Finally, while giving lectures, very scatter-brained and unspecific.

she doesn't know how to teach. this is a photo essay class but she talks more about African American history. she gets lost in her words every time she speak. she doesn't stick to what is on the grading syllabus. she gives a lot of papers in short timing and expects you to know what she wants, even thought she doesn't herself.

Dr. Frazier is a very sweet woman but is clearly very lost in her own thoughts. She talks endlessly and her lessons are long and confusing to follow so much that its frustrating. Also, she is a very tough grader and like to read stories rather than intellectual essays. I would not recommend.

If you do not want to question your existence do not take this class. She completely shuts down anything you have to say with nonsense and disregards any discussion. I was told that this class was about writing but it somehow became "The History of Black People in Photography" Complete waste of time and dread coming to this class.

I enjoyed Dr. Frazier. I took her the summer prior to my freshman year and it was a challenge but I was totally grateful for it because she prepares you for even higher courses. She actually wants you to work hard for the grade that you want. She gives AMAZING feedback if you do happen to do something wrong. She's very nice and loves participation

Her class is nothing less than a complete joke and everyone at CofC knows it. Her assignments are almost always vague, asking questions during lecture go nowhere, and she doesn't grade off of a rubric, it seems as if your grade is delivered based on how much she enjoyed your paper. Not worth the tuition I pay at CofC. Steer clear of Frazier !

She's very enthusiastic, and clearly knows what she's talking about, but she doesn't communicate it very clearly, and speaks almost entirely in generalities. She only expresses things on basic, shallow levels and never gets very deep, but expects you to. Very nice, but not a great teacher.

She is clearly intelligent but doesn't appear to know how to communicate the lessons effectively. It's a survey class, and pretty much you should expect to read everything that's ever been in the canon, and then be expected to do some crazy in-depth analysis. With no guidance.

She is a great teacher! I took her in a class that was 4 students large and it was fun because we were flexible with everything we did. I wrote some of my best work in her class because she was so attentive and made useful suggestions for me to make it better.

Dr. Frazier was great! Only one test and one paper for the entire class. The rest were mini assignments. You can tell she is passionate about her work and that shows through. Not the easiest class but it's not supposed to be. Hope to take another class with her.

She's not an awful professor but her class can be really confusing and sometimes felt like a waste of time. Lots of busy work and pointless group projects and it felt a lot like I was in high school again, but she never gave us any tests and was very flexible when it came to turning in papers. She takes attendance every day.

Dr. Frazier is really not a good teacher. After taking AP english all throughout high school I thought this class would be a breeze but it's not. All of our assignments are pointless and she is never satisfied with our papers. She rips apart our papers for no reason and her logic makes no sense. Her voice is annoying too.

I hated this class and the professor didn't teach a thing. The assignments were pointless and going to class was annoying. Should have been an online class. Never used our book. Treated us like we were 12 and never gave us any feedback on assignments/papers. Made us pay $15 for a account on a website we never used.

Dr. Frazier is a very sweet lady, but she is an awful teacher.She copies her ppts from the internet, and never offers anything original. She never gives anything higher than a B+, does not clarify what she wants in papers, and she never responds emails. We barely talked about the literature at all. Do not take her unless you like mediocre teaching.
