I had Vicky for a social problems class 2016. All of her material was easy to understand, her lectures were a bit long but still somewhat good for general eds. Her tests seem very difficult but a C student can get an A on all the tests from studying properly. Homework was well worth the points and actually fun. She cares about what she lectures.

Brockman really cares about her students and she's a good person. She also is very understanding and willing to offer ideas for assigned projects. I took Sociology Seminar with her and I really enjoyed it.

If I could avoid taking another class with Vicky, I would! My least favorite professor. She is very unclear and scattered brained. She likes to ramble about pointless stuff that does not pertain to the class. Tough grader, very hard to get an A on papers. Also, extremely opinionated and teaches from only one point of view.

Dr. Brockman was thorough in her presentation of the course material. She introduced supplementary material in addition to the textbook to bring detail to some of the concepts which had been only covered briefly in the text. She took a sincere interest in her students and was quite understanding of health issues which arose during the semester.

Vicky is fantastic. She may be a bit absent-minded at times, but she has taught me everything I know about Sociology. She has prepared me the best she can for graduate school and that is hard to come by considering how many people she has to advise. :o) If you want to learn something from her... put your conservativism aside and really listen!
