Comment:
By far the best Computer Science professor at Ramapo, no question about it. Just a genuinely nice guy who clearly cares about his students and wants to see you be successful. Makes it clear what he wants you to do in labs and projects, and gives a big project you need to complete in order to pass class but he helps you with it. Highly recommend

Vic was a wonderful professor. I took him for .NET Environment and Software Design classes this semester and I learned a lot in both. However, the final exam in his classes is usually half your grade. In software design we had a final project that must be satisfactory in order to pass but I was taught how to write structured code. Would take again!

He has a thing where he really likes ducks & bad jokes but everyone loves Miller anyways, enough said! He's a great teacher & always easy to get into touch with for help. The final exam is almost always half ur grade in his courses so be prepared. Great guy though. When it comes to Comp Sci take his courses or Scott Frees for any electives!

I had Mr Miller in 1982 after I graduated from a S.U.N.Y. school with a minor in CS. I took his operating systems class, LISP, and several others and was apointed to an internship at Lederle Labs. He was the best professor I ever had. I hold all my professors to the standards he had in teaching.

Taken him for many classes. Very fun professor, labs assigned every so often with a 2 week due date. Very clear how to pass his class and exams are open-book. Best professor at the college by far.

Miller was a professor I didn't take until I was junior. At that level he was extremely helpful. I don't know how well he could teach beginners but when he gets a group of students who already know a lot he can be extremely helpful. He's fairly interesting in class and he does a decent job of teaching. I like him as a person and a professor.

I'll second that call of Miller for President! Be warned, bribing him with toy ducks does not work.

I really like Miller, he is a great guy, and a decent professor. However, I dont like his teaching style. I finally figured out the perfect way to explain it: its like teaching a child that doesnt know math that 1+1 = 2, and 1+3 = 4, but not what adding is, so that they cant do 1+4 = 5 on their own.

Clearly knows his stuff, how to get it across, and how to test you on it fairly. Very available and helpful, unlike Ammie. By far the most competent RC CS prof, which is scary considering his proneness to error, spelling and otherwise. :) Very lively feller, albeit in a strange way. Quack. :P

One of the best teachers around. he presents this course as a view to real world programming, something I think is missing in most comp sci classes. He's very fair and is enjoyable to attend class with. you learn so much listening to him.

Vic is an awesome professor, who, I'm convinced, doesn't sleep. I've sent him e-mails at 2:30 am, and had a response by 4. Master of UNIX & network programming. The only downside is that he can teach a bit slow at times, so smarter students may be bored.

He is obsessed with his ducks story. Always namees variables "duck" and "vic". Do not take any CS class with Miller when David takes it. David is a troublesome young distractor.
