well ms jourdans a nice lady. shes probably the most vague teacher i've ever had but it's probably for the best. less or about the same work as other college writing courses at lmu. flexible at the beginning due to the nature of the class. pretend you're a bad writer to begin with.. gradually 'improve' your writing.. get a good grade. :-)

typical college professor grading. be prepared to write a lot of papers and get into a weekly routine the entire semester. not too hard. just do the work.

Lots of writing. Essay due every monday, peer edits every wednesday, journals every friday. Her work is very challending but she does help you outside of class. if you are one of those people to doesnt care about writing or getting a good grade, look forward to an F. Getting a good grade requires effort in her class.

Class is freespirited and allows for much creativity. Mondays - turn in essay. Weds. - Turn in Peer edits. Fris. - Turn in journal. Journals start out as freelance and towards the end focus on political issues. Class borders on philisophical discussion and topics are engaging. She is fun to talk to and treats students with respect and equality.

I wouldn't recommend her, she is too disorganized, often let us out late. Didn't learn much of anything and classmates are idiots. Less workload then other teachers, but at least with other teachers you know where you stand in terms of your writing ability. If you are a good writer, write really dumb and then show improvement and you will get an A

The only people who liked this teacher must be book worms and teachers pets. She rarely graded the 5 papers per week, we always had peer editing done by idiot classmates. Because of this,I don't feel I learned much. She's really confusing and doesn't specify assignments. Too much dumb busy work. Dont take her!

This class sucks because she is very unclear. I did all the work, extra credit, got help on essays, and still ended up with a B.

at first, the class seems so easy... a few papers here & there, peer editing... BUT the portfolio is worth almost your entire grade if not all... and her grading is harsh and unfair... you think you have an A the entire semester but you end up with a C! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!

this class sucked, all of the essays were politically oriented, she was always pissy, and assigned a lot of bs work. there was no creative writing, her class was so boring and we had to post 2 pages double spaced every week on blackboard...and she never changed the topics!

She is one of the best English teachers in the department. Her grading on the assignments are fair but the workload is a lot lighter than many of the same courses. many of the assignments can be done the night b4 and still get a good grade on it. She is very reasonable and makes exceptions. HOT

Good teacher, Does not require as much writing as other english teachers I know of. The class is very politically oriented like capitalism rich and poor. Shes pretty hot, and is not boring. Pretty good teacher all in all.
