He was challenging, sure, but he was compelling and knew how to make his subject matter the most interesting.Dr Nookie, the girls called him behind his back, but most respectfully. After all, considering he was amazing, cool, brilliant, fun, and caring in a way that wasn't overt, but very kind nonetheless. He called me Granny. Thanks Walter!

Dr. Noelke is one of the most influential professors I have had throughout my college career. He has high standards, and compels students to achieve higher goals. Dr. Noelke is very thourough when he teaches and keeps students interested with his sometimes hilarious comparisons. Dr. Noelke is retiring, and will truly be missed at ASU

Best prof I ever had. His lectures are hilarious & borderline brilliant. You MUST attend class 90% of his test material is from the lecture. You're an adult, he will treat you as such. Its up to you to read the material in the National & Texas books which are also on the test. His tests are hard but if you want to learn he's worth your time.

I've been out of college some time now but if I had the opportunity to take ONE class over again, from every other class/college/professor in my life - I'd take Dr. Noelke's. He was gritty in all the right ways, sharp as a tac, and justifiably scarcastic with a group of students I truly believe he cared about. I still think about ya old man!
