Coming into my freshmen year I was quite terrified of Wanchi because of all of the things I had heard about her, but she quickly became my favorite professor. Yes she is a very very tough teacher, but she really wants you to be your best. She is always there for you with her quirky laugh and weird fashion sense, but she really is the best. #1fan

She is an expert and I feel lucky to have her as a teacher. She has high expectations, and that can be scary at first, but it ends up shaping you into a real musician. I wish other students would stop complaining about her ferocious attitude. It's part of her teaching method. Deal with it! Oh, and practice. A lot.

I'm a freshmen and have heard rumors that in past years she's been really tough and could get kind of mean, but for some reason, I haven't seen that side of her and everyone in the studio says that she's always so nice now. She's a totally great teacher.

She's a really talented violinist, but sometimes she's a real jerk. She tells you to do something, and if you can't get it, she gets mad. And she gets into your personal life - she told me I can't date untill I graduate. She also changes her mind a lot and makes random analogies involving pancakes. Weird and scary. I'm not a fan.

I had her for a lesson and she was wonderful. Really helps with technique. Very clear. If she thinks something is easy and you can't quite get it she gets mad. Random fits of anger. She is very funny. She will help you plan out your day!

Probably one of the best violinists I've ever met! I enjoy all my lessons and always walk away knowing more about how difficult but rewarding it can be to play the violin well. Don't try to get away with laziness, she won't have it!!
