Hands down the worst Spanish professor at UA. I have had so many others that made the class not only more interesting and fun, but engaging the students, teaching them facts about history. His syllabus is trash and makes no sense when it comes to grading. You can talk and participate all you want, but it won't matter because he only has 2 tests.

Comment:

Worden is a great professor and a huge goofball!! He is obsessed with Don Quixote and makes it as exciting as reading 17th century Spanish literature can be. His tests are HARD but he is a fair grader and rewards students for doing their best. Pop quizzes are pretty difficult so make sure you read (at least the Sparknotes version) before class!

My best teacher this semester! He is a great guy and is very good at his job. Only ever speaks Spanish which really helps and he is very knowledgeable. Laid back and easy to communicate with. One of my most favorite Spanish teachers I have had.

Im not a Spanish minor or major, but Dr. Worden was one of my favorite teachers at UA. He is a great professor and I definitely learned a lot in his class. So nice, laidback, and always willing to help. Take him!!!

I love this man!! I had him for 101 and 102. He speaks the language extremely well and is extremely helpful. It's not an easy class by any means (could that apply to language classes in general?), but he teaches very well! Reading the book and taking good notes is crucial for the tests and quizzes.

Dr. Worden is amazing! As a native speaker, I found this class pretty challenging because it was medieval and Golden Age Spanish, but he made the class the best it could be. You have to read the material on your own, but Dr. Worden will happily clear up any confusion in class.
