Comment:

You need to work hard in this class. Don't try to miss class because she takes attendance seriously. Make sure you are on top of your schedule because she assign a lot of projects. Critiques are taken seriously as well so, when a assignment is due make sure you hand it on time. We rarely use the textbook because she teaches by doing demos.

very confusing, too many projects, gives multiple projects due at the same time. you are going to hate her, but dont get on her bad side, she will make your life hell. very highly ranked in the art dept. dont worry you will get through it. she really is a nice person but not a nice prof.

She can be somewhat touch sometimes, but she tries to be nice and succeeds often. I like her, she had decently good assignments, and you learn a lot, even if you may not think so at the time. Some people think she's mean, but she proved over and over that she really does care about her students, and I really respect her for that.

If you love art like i did prepare to have this lady change your mind completely. Most of the assignments you are given are grade school projects that are tedious but must be done perfect or you will have to do it again. This professor is rarely available to talk, does not give clear guidelines and will create due dates without making you aware.

Gets a bad rep because she teaches foundations which is hard and a 9 hour class but I took other classes were she is really good!She is really nice and understanding if you communicate that you are struggling and is willing to stay after and help. Like any other class, you get the grade deserve by the amount of effort you put in. Would recommend

This was my first art class at post and after taking Winn I seriously thought of changing my major. I truly believe she teaches every art related class even if she doesn't have a background in the media being taught. If you like concrete and clear answers don't take her, she changes her mind about projects every class

Over all she is very nice. If you show up to class and complete the work you will get an A. The only negative is she wants your artwork to reflect her values/interests and not yours. Also, she tells you to email her (if you have questions), but she NEVER responds.

She is a great teacher. She teaches the foundations of art that art needed and required to learn to be an actual artist. The reason why there isnt alot of freedom, creating wise, is because she is teaching us the basics that we must learn. overall, great teacher.

One of the best professors at the school! She is very easy to talk to. She does like the students to follow certain rules within their art but at the Foundations level that is what is necessary Hello that's why its called 'Foundations'. You will never be successful in art if you just do the work toget it over with, you should not be an art major!

i had her for 2d design & 3d/4d. she's a nice person- a little strange & quirky. but she revamps projects last minute for people & then is disappointed in their work. really, just do what you want to do & she'll respect it to some degree. i did well but only because i'm stubborn. she talks WAY too much, also.

A bit confusing, and tries to make your art her own. If you have a thick shell just ignore her and keep your art yours...don't expect stellar grades though. I listened to *some* of her "advice" when I thought she was onto something and disregarded in when I didn't agree. Got B's both times around. She's very nice though.
