All online now. The assignments can be confusing. Homework due every week, group project(teach computer skills to kids), tests are hard, but only basic computer skills necessary. She will help you if you ask. Learned a lot. Great for future teachers. Be prepared to work!

OMG this class was so much work. If you need to take it then do it, but I would avoid it if you could. Mostly all of it was online,and your on your own throughout the whole semester. Tests were overwhelming. I was a complete mess come the final. I was so lucky to even get out of there with a B. If you don't do your homework, you wont pass!

Great teacher. Organized, prepared, helpful. However, she will work you! Don't expect to slack in her classes. Had to learn Java first before getting to design patterns and refactoring. LOTS of programming and an agressive schedule. Very tough midterm and final. You'll leave learning alot though. Recommended.

If you know computers this is an easy class. If you've ever done computer programming before its a piece of cake. Do the HW and pick someone good to be partners with for the Community Service Project. Exams are all open book and similar to the HW.Not recommended if you're new to computers. Class is mostly on-line except for a few classes and exams.

This was mostly an online class. Went for the first 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks. Great professor. Very nice. very helpful. A lot of work, but it's fun not boring, at least if computers interest you its fun. don't take if you dont know anything about comps. however you dont need to know a lot, just basics. Great class. Great professor!

2nd worst teacher of csusm (right after Wu). She doesn't speak proper english, she doesn't answer your question without making you more confused. if you can, go somewhere else for CS major since csusm really sux with outdated teachers. (there are few exceptions, but she is not one of them).

Great professor! If the people before me didn't understand the material, they should've gone to her office hours to ask her or even e-mail her. I went to her office hours frequently, because i'm new at programming. She isVERYhelpful and can explain things clearer for u during her hours if not during class.

She is really nice, but not the best prof., especially if you are not very experienced with CS. I had taken other classes, so I had no problem, but she did not explain things very well. It seemed that a lot of people in my class were lost by the end of the semester. Her hw can be hard to understand what exactly she wants done. Test are easy.

For anyone wanting to take this class for fun, I would absolutely not recommend it. She assumes students already know the material and only covers some of ideas from the book and teaches by power pt. My advise read in advance to understand the material. She is unclear w/ hw, so ask for clarification and examples to understand. Don't procrastinate.

Not a bad class and she is helpful. She is sometimes unclear with instructions but online discussions clarified everything. Lectures covered a lot but were sometimes too long. Homeworks were usually easy and counted for a big portion of the grade. The project was huge but we had a lot of flexibility in the design. Slow response to emails sometimes.

I passed this class with flying colors but others really stuggled. Half of the class online with the option to show or not. Approachable with questions. Service learning project required (in groups.) Over all - good class. This class includes word, excel, access, frontpage, and ASP. Open book/note tests. If you do the homework, tests aren't bad.

A good person at heart. Her teaching style and her class made me change majors, just food for thought. Intelligent but can't teach worth a flip. WATCH OUT FOR DATA STRUCTURES! Be ready to hire the Microsoft Software Engineering team.
