Everyone says this class is awful and a ton of work, but in reality the class is fun. Who doesn't want to play games with math manipulatives during class? The unit really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be either. Just make sure you do everything in teacher talk and include everything required and you'll be fine.

Lots of the class time is just used to learn about the stuff in the bag. Can be a waste. Do things the way she wants (format, etc.) & you'll be fine. Don't take math & soc. studies in the same semester with her. Will look over lesson plans if you get them to her early. overall, not too bad.

Very helpful. You are required to write a unit and mine was much too hard for my grade level. She talked with me about it and still gave me a B even though the unit clearly could never be used in a real classroom.
