Horrible professor! All he does is tell personal stories that MIGHT relate to the topic. Never gives notes and always rambles! When you're taking him for an hour and 20 min. it gets redundant! I counted 7 useless stories during 1 class! You will learn nothing! DO NOT TAKE!

Take this for an easy A.I got over a 100% on every project.The test questions come out of no where but like the projects he grades them easily and there was only a midterm test.He doesn't respond to emails but is understanding.He does get offended when people skip class alot and he tells stories all the time.Oh and you use the computers 3times

Do not take Dr. Roth if you really expect to learn the "ins and outs" of new technologies, but if you already know your stuff, and are just looking for an easy "A," go for it! He's a GREAT person and an awesome storyteller.

Dr. Roth is a very good teacher. Pretty boring much of the time because you seldom get in to use the computers. There are several projects and he is generous with grading. Must have some knowlege of computers. he's intense and easy going at the same time. Very smart and a rebel. Very likable guy. I'd take another class from him

Dr. Roth is one of the best teacher at KU. he is so nice and tell the best stories. He is willing to compromise if you take the time out to go to his office and talk to him. well at least he did for my class. if you get the chance take his class. I got an A. The final was a project so it was easy.

This man is so-o-o full of himself. Although it's been years since I graduated summa cum laude from KU, I remember Roth's AV class. His tests were quite confusing, he had too many biases & was too full of himself for adult students. NEGATIVE experience.

Dr. Roth is a great professor. He will help you with anything as much as he possibly can. His tests are kinda tough, but he gives you plenty of projects that really boost your grade. I definitely recommend taking him.

Dr. Roth entertains while instructing. He has lots of energy and knows his material. He's not always available, but when you can catch him, he'll jump through hoops to help you out.
